According to a new report by Dave Meltzer and F4WOnline.com, The Carter Family is looking to sell TNA Impact Wrestling.
Meltzer noted on his "Wrestling Observer Radio Show" on Saturday that The Carter's are looking to sell the company, and have been "for a while now." Meltzer also noted that there is a lot of "big things" going on behind-the-scenes right now as far as the future ownership of the company, but the bottom line is, they are basically looking to sell it to the highest bidder.
One report claims that some of the people interested in buying TNA from the Carter's include Eric Bischoff, Jeff Jarrett, Viacom and possibly even World Wrestling Entertainment (WWE).
We should have more details on this breaking story on Monday morning.
**** just got real.

not surprising, dixie carter has been beating a dead horse ever since the main event mafia first appeared 4-5 years ago. only way tna can survive is if they go back to the old days, and what made them different. put guys like AJ, JOE, Daniels in the main events, use the x division like crazy and stop with all the stupid gimmicks

I can see it now,
HHH and Steph on Raw talking chit about how powerful they are now and in their newest power move have bought a young up and coming company before it even had a chance to become competition. Then it cuts to Impact, which would be a live final show on Monday. Out comes Shane McMahon, "name on contract does say mcmahon..." . Bah gawd! Shane Mcmahon now owns TNA wrestling!
Invasion 2.0 ft, Sharkboy vs CM Punk, Eric Young vs Randy Orton, John Cena vs Garret Bischoff and Daniel Bryan vs HHH.
Then guys like Styles, Roode, Storm, Joe, Angle all come in a year later after the invasion.**Charlotte Flair Crew**

If true....
- Please, PLEASE don't sell to WWE. Anyone else would be a benefit to pro wrestling.
- Hulk Hogan & Eric Bischoff have played a key role in killing two major wrestling promotions. There should never, ever be debate around this again.
- Hopefully Bully Ray is never seen or heard of again.Minnesota Vikings

They should put Bill Watts in charge-he can ban the X Division guys from jumping off the ropes, get rid of the women & bring in tough guys like Valentine, Barbarian, Slater, Reed etc & have them do amateur wrestling for 15-20 minutes.

Lol at Jericho-like he had 2.5 million dollars in his bank account in 2001. Even if he could what what he have done with it? No tv, they were making massive losses, lots of people under expensive contracts he would have to have paid them those amounts to get rid of them & if not he would have been stuck with their egos.

he had some money he was not living off ramen noodles and sleeping under a bridge.
plus he can borrow money from family and friends.
he could have cut has he can to keep open for the meanwhile and attract investors or get deals that showed trust in competent manager. The rights to the WCW brand were worth a good ammount. They were sold for pennies on the dollar.

But there is a huge difference between not being poor & being able to just pluck 2.5 million out of his pocket-he was probably on about $500,000 a year in WCW/WWF with road expenses etc & as said even if he could have raised the money by borrowing/taking out loans he would have been a total idiot considering the mess WCW was in when it went out of business-the only person who could have made money from it was Vince.

Ha not a bit surprised, what with all the critism its been under here on the forum since I started my tenure its all been mostly well deserved. Its most definitely a sinking ship, hell, its on the rocks right now, sails on fire, but Dixie just says come on guys lets all hop into this chevrolet and we will be ok....
I watched the latest impact after BFG and it was utter garbage, 2 actual wrestling matches, knockouts match and aj vs bully and the rest of the show was talking, wtf. At Least after a ppv on raw your guaranteed a good show but after watching this I said im done with tna. Not one bit sorry its been sold but for the sake of the wrestlers on the roster I hope it turns out good for them. One man has enthusiasm for 30 minutes, another for 30 days, but it is the man who has it for 30 years who makes a success of his life.

It's obvious now. Vince and the Dixie family are in cahoots.
But on the real, as much as I would love to see Angle, Roode, Styles, Joe, etc. in WWE, I hope they don't take it over, give it to someone who can actually turn it around.Follow me on IG --- @delevision1
