Okay, I posted earlier about having a competition around here, and ya'll all seemed to like the idea. the consensus was between bench, deadlift, and squat, so I figured why not do all 3! And As to not interfere with peoples programs who don't want to max, u can hit each lift for 3-5 reps (or just 1RM), and we'll run a calculator to figure out your max, if everyone's okay with that.
Also, I PM'd a mod about it, and he's down to MOD REP at least the top user for each individual lift (not weight class specific)and top 3 total numbers and sticky the thread.
I'll PM more mods and I'm sure other members of the section will stand behind repping the winners, I personally am gonna rep everyone who submits videos, with my poverty reps lol...
Right now I just need to find out who's in on this and what weight you are gonna try competing in. last day to post vids is up in the air right now, but I think September 31 would be a solid date. so you have about 2 months to get it in! If you don't want to compete but would like to judge and know what to look for in the lifts, let me know and I will add your name to the list of judges in the official thread!
once we get enough people to pledge in, we'll take a look at the average weights and decide how many classes we will do. Then set up the thread for the videos!
Everybody is welcome, even if you don't think you'll win, why not try, to give yourself that extra motivation in the gym!

to all worried about not winning, I am the epitome of not winning...haha
my bw will be around 180, I took the last 1.5 years off training, and I just got back in the gym. best lifts were 195 bench, 295 for 3 squat, and 355 for 2 DL. don't know if ill get past that for this comp. but im gonna try and I will post videos of my lifts.Never forget the fallen 767 - Great Misc Ban (U.S. World Cup Loss 7/2/14)

gonna get a headcount over these next few days of whos in and go from there. originally planned for 135, 150, 165, 180, 195, 210 +...but their might not be enough comptetiors for that many classes.

Currently sitting at 163lb in 1st week off cut/start of bulk
Bench 140 3x5
Squat 195 3x5
Deadlift 245x5
I'll hopefully weigh in at 168, more likely 170ish.
Going for
Bench 225x1 (selling myself short here)
Squat 350 (should be easy with dat der muscle memory)
Deadlift 425 (bit of a reach)
Are we gonna do it where there is are separate comps for each lift and another comp for overall total.
Also, i forget if Martyn is in my weight class, if so. My angus is NOT peppered.
Also for maxes what are allowed? I want to assume at least a belt.
