WTF is it with the lack of clothing? Really people? Come on. If you are going to post a photo of yourself all over the forum at least put on a swim suit or short shorts or something besides your bra and panties! I'm a mom and absolutely hate that there are photos of young girls in their panties and bras on here. Y'all do know that once these photos are out in cyberspace they are there FOREVER...right? I know that some swim suits don't cover up as much but at least I can't see your pubic hair and they look nicer than a pair of almost there panties and bra that doesn't fit! AUGH
Sorry, I guess the mama in me just had to vent. I'm not gonna look at any more photos now.

why the hate? it's a fitness forum. pretty hard to show physique development all covered up.
unless you're talking about women who shove a pair of tits in their avi."The human race is still largely a group of monkeys with slightly better grooming habits. Give them a microscope and and they'll examine their own ****, give them a telescope and they'll go looking for tits."

I'm totally agree that if you want to show off the hard work go for it and most of the adults on here do so tastefully. HOWEVER, there are some that just go strip down and snap a photo in the can and have no clue that I CAN SEE EVERYTHING. I now need to bleach my eyes. LOL I'm not a hater. I appreciate the hard work it takes to sculpt a nice body. Just wanting to educate the young ladies. There is a tacky way to post your photo and a nice tasteful way. They need to remember that once that photo is out there it's there forever!

I hear you mama. I've been a teacher for a long time and I know that kids get exposed to LOTS on the internet these days. I don't think most of the avis on here are sexually explicit tho. There is a difference between someone showing off their body because it is a beautiful work of art and someone who is showing off their body to get somebody else off. Kids can find waaaay more explicit images on google.
With all that said, if you are concerned about what your daughters see, it is best to monitor what they are trolling. I am always surprised at the number of parents who allow their children to have a computer in their room. Best to keep it in a "family" area so you can monitor. Maybe you already do this! You sound like a concerned mom!

And now that I am thinking about it:
I think there are many excellent role models on here for your girls. The women who post here have beautiful bodies, are healthy, strong, individuals--much better than a lot of that crap they see in the media.
If they're trolling this site, (not sure how old your girls are), maybe have conversations with them about bb and why people would want to "show off" on their avis

Another new member coming in to police up morality, awesome.
Instead of making judgement calls on people you know nothing about, why don't you worry about you and your own. SOME people are proud of their accomplishments and want to display their body. Others are just sexual in nature and want to express themselves in their own way.
I would rather deal with attention whores over people who feel the need to spew rubbish from their soapbox. Personally, I've got better things to do than worry about what others wear (or don't).

i don't think OP was judging anyone per se. more like expressing her worry about the fact that once you post a picture of your ass on the net, you basically lose control over it. that might come back and bite you, ahem, in the ass one day.
not unlike people who tag themselves throwing up on their shoes on ********."The human race is still largely a group of monkeys with slightly better grooming habits. Give them a microscope and and they'll examine their own ****, give them a telescope and they'll go looking for tits."

I really don't have more than fleeting thoughts about it, but now that we are talking about it, I think *some* of the pics of young girls and grown women are very suggestive. I am not so worried about the panty/bra thing. It's the suggestive posing. The ones with the one/two fingers tugging down one side of their string-like panties while their body is contorted to basically say don't you want to fuk me kill me.
There was a thread a while back on the ov35 misc section loaded with pics, and I had never been more grateful to have 3 boys.
It's my opinion. Call me old fashioned. I sort of am.

I think the point being made is not so much “OH MY GOD COVER YOURSELF UP, HUSSY” and more “think about how this photo will look out of context.” Are you training to be a teacher? Will an out of context picture of you in your knick knacks impact on employment prospects? Will a bitter ex boyfriend take that pic and post it all over town with your mom’s number and list all the sexual favours you’ll perform for money? Will your pic, intended for fitness purposes end up on "rate my ex girlfriend dot com?"
A bikini short suit shows just as much skin/progress as your bra and pants but is more difficult to take out of context.Update your grey matter, 'cause some day it may matter

i think it's the way it's possible to publish yourself for free in the social media that makes people crave for their five minutes of fame.
i can't fully comprehend what it is exactly that makes people willfully disclose and release all sorts personal information (and bodyparts) into the ether - just because they can. maybe as some sort self-reflection and identity building."The human race is still largely a group of monkeys with slightly better grooming habits. Give them a microscope and and they'll examine their own ****, give them a telescope and they'll go looking for tits."

Was directed at the OP, not you (never pointed at anyone in particular except OP). I found the thread interesting because a damn near identical thread was created in 035 section by a male. The OP does show concern by the condescending tone of her post.
I'm not sure why you're concerned that we're 'concerned'.

What ever happened to if you don't like what's on the TV just change the channel? IDK, maybe I'm simple minded or maybe I just don't give a sh!t about what other people think is appropriate but if I'm offended by something I just don't watch, listen, read the offensive material anymore. I don't really think it's necessary to get my"mom" up and start beratting others. Others have their own moms who can do that for them...this comming from a woman who only has a dog of course so take it for what it's worth. Nothing, just like everyone elses opinion as to what's appropriate and what's not.
Although I do have to say that when I first read this I thought that maybe OP was a little to in-tune with the guy in the O35 thread and that they should start their own publically correct bodyspace somewhere else. You have to train your mind the same way you train your body. You must protect it against the negative and feed it with the positive. Be mindful of what you watch, what you read and who you allow to influence you. Learn to consider your thoughts emotions and actions. Trust your gut face your fears head on and never quit. AJ Roberts
