I've seen enough threads lately with people blaming 'genetics' for looking like garbage, and i'm sure it's annoying the people who actually work their ass off in the gym and get accused of having good genetics just because they look like they lift. The main thing I see people complaining about is lack of chest or having moobs even though they hit chest soooo hard. In reality, they weigh 190lbs and bounce press 220lb or someone on rippetoes bringing the bar down 3 inches and that is their only chest exercise. Anyone benching around 1.5x your body weight for 1RM at least, post a picture of your chest and list your bench/weight/height to help shut these people up.
Personally I took a half year break from lifting and basically had to start from nothing except some muscle memory, at the end of november. I was down to almost 120lbs (strong ********) and my max was 115lbs barely, up to lower 140s now and bench is upto 215lbs hoping to get 225lb within the next few weeks. So bench 215lbs/140ish/5'9

6'2" 190. Hit 295 a few months ago. With the weighted dips I've been doing, should hit 305 or 315.
Chest pretty thick already, but I'd really like to bring out my delts more, as I haven't really worked them on their own day for a long time now.If you're not willing to get your diet in check, then your supplements and gym membership are a waste of money.

I do believe it is genetic to an extent.
I have a well developed chest imo (shapewise), yet I'm lacking fullness. It's very VERY slowly coming on, but is lacking in comparison to the strength gains.
ATM the furthest I've done is 242 x 6 @ 168.

This isn't a showoff thread, it's to prove if you're lifting a respectable amount of weight for your bodyweight then you'll see results no matter how ****ty your "bodybulding genetics" are.
Cool you weigh more than me, I was 155 at the beginning of summer and probably benching as much as you. Abusing ******** and running everyday of the week in track and not lifting will make you lose a lot of weight/muscle. You have 5 years on me, I can get back to where i was and surpass that by a lot in 5 years. How big were you when you were 18?
