evolution favors smaller things if you look at the creatures of today VS. the creatures of dinosaur ERAs you will notice a vast size difference.
the reason is bigger organisms require more food.
Now just imagine there was a shortage of food who would die out first ?

all you 6'2 and above freaks would start to look like beanpoles and starve way before the 5'9 and under crowd.
with population growth being very high i PREDICT tall people to be phased out especially in poor countries.
so all you tall people you stink and when there is little food to go around you will die because your taller bodies need more food/mass.

Usually natural selection determines evolution unless there is a major mutation involved. Chicks like taller guys so taller guys get to mate more and hence people get taller. I guess I'm a freak of nature because I'm taller than both my parents.
