Hi Guys,
need a bit of your help on this one.
I am chugging some Whey and Creatine together. Ususally I take this about couple of hours before my workout begins but aint seening much change in my lifting power.
SO now am thinking of taking this just as I begin my warmup (cycling or treadmill) so it is there within 20 mins when I hit the weights.
Your thoughts on the right timings will be much appreciated?
POST WORKOUT:
I usually finish my workout by say 8pm hence I dont see a point drinking protien straight after. I am going to change this to having protien as I hit the bed (10pm ish).
Is this good?
Thanks

Look into Size On. It's meant to be taken during training. Takes the guesswork out of timing. Everything is fast nutrition in it so you drink it during your workout. No need to worrry about timing. It has high quality hydrowhey, amino acids, creatine etc. Full recovery product. Lasts 1 month and a couple days if working out 5 X per wk i.e. lifting.
I personally wouldn't want to drink a protein shake prior to lifting. Plus a standard whey protein takes 2-3hours to completely digest. Thats like 5 grams of BCAA's over 2-3 hours. It's a trickle of amino acids during your lifting window. Size On is everything during the workout timeframe.
If you don't like this route you might as well take 2 scoops i.e. 2 servings of that protein shake and take it 30min prior to working out. This way it peaks during your workout.

I provided a better suggestion then you telling him to take 2 scoops or 2 servings of whey 30min prior to working out. Timed correctly. How did you get all your rep power by recommending protein and creatine. How long did you do that for? So to you no other supplement is worthy because in this timframe supplements have made a big leap into a realm of nutrient timing. Quit crying about it. Give me some of your Rep pts because i actually earned em.

Well did take the Creatine/Protien combo as I started the cardio and believe me it was the best time to hit it off.
Felt totally energised and lifted big! This was after a 10 hour working day. So in view point the timing was perfect. Thanks all for providing some useful info (and some for useless banter, which was nice to read none the less). ;-)
