I started doing this around new years. I've lost about 15 lb so far, not sure how much is muscle and how much is fat, but my lifts at the gym have still been consistent. I've cheated more than I should, but I'm still seeing results. I haven't been tracking BF %, but I've noticed a good change in the mirror so far.

The thing is you're slowing down your metabolism like crazy. Try upping the amount of food you eat. bounce your calories to 2200 - 2300 and up the protein at 1g per lbs, fat by 70g and carbs by 50g. You want to make sure that you're body does not use the protein as a energy source. This is where you fats and carbs come in. Good luck!

I tried the slow carb diet, but I didn't like the beans and it's hard to do in a dorm room.

I just started eating about 1g of protein per lb and trying to eat less than 60g of carbs a day. It's been pretty good for fat loss.

when you're not losing fat it means you're eating too much.. or not moving enough...

Are you using progress pictures for reference or just going strictly by scale? If scale only, it could also just be normal daily weight fluctuation because of water and weight of food throwing the numbers off. When you're talking about 2-3lbs per week that can easily be masked by food and water weight.

    bigbody300,

Any updates on your progress? I've been doing this diet now for 8 weeks and my results have been pretty fantastic. I'm down around 15 lbs overall and have been taking a progress picture & measurements every Saturday morning (posted on my bodyspace). I really like this eating plan for its simplicity and also the consistent energy throughout the day.

the biggest thing on Slow Carb is to eat when you are hungry no matter what. as long as you limit it to the allowed foods on the program and avoid domino foods it's hard to go wrong on it.

i was on this diet for 3 weeks or so and i lost around 15 pounds. it did make me feel pretty weak and tired, although it was probably worth it because of the fast rate of weight loss (5 pounds or so per week!)

Thats impressive. Did you just follow the protocol or did you buy the supplements as well.
