    Texas Method question

I started texas method this week and my last workout is tomorrow and according to rippetoes article I should work up to a new 5 rep max on my squat and bench. My question is should I work up to and try a new pr or should I just add five pounds to what I did for my sets on Sunday and work up to a 1 set of five with that. For example

    Option #1
I did 205 for 5x5 on my squat on sunday I would then do 210 for 1x5 tomorrow.

    Option #2
My 5 rep max on squat is 235 I would then work up and try for a new pr set of 5 with 240.

P.S. I am getting practical programming for christmas.

The 5x5 and 1x5 days move up somewhat independently of eachother. You'll want to hit that 210 on your next 5x5 day. You go for the PR on your 1x5.

I found PP to be a bit of a tougher read than SS, have fun.
