    Excesssive fat

Lets say im low carb bulking. Since i would get above maintenance calories from fat mostly will i gain bodyfat more easily?
I know that the macronutrient itself doesnt matter if you count the calories but in a bulk you have an excess of calories which causes an increase in bodyfat, so is it to be expected to get more bodyfat from a bulk with high fat low carb macros?

When i talk about low carb im talking about around 150 grams a day, not low enough for keto....

Or on the other hand excessive calories coming from fat or carbs are the same?

Protein is more metabolically "expensive" than fat and carbs (i.e. burns more calories), so protein overfeeding will lead to slightly less fat gain than overfeeding on a calorically equivalent amount of fat or carbs (because your calories out will be slightly higher). However, nothing that's very significant in the grand scheme of things. Don't overcomplicate it, slightly tweaking your ratios won't do much to your caloric expenditure.
