    Angry Leg question for you bro's

    Do any of ya'll feel like you are cheating your hamstrings on leg day? Ex. Today after an awesome quad workout, I went to start off with stiff leg deads. My quads were so blown that I felt like they were going to give out with all the shaking and trembling they did. Managed to work through it but I feel like I could of gone heavier on the deads but my quads could not handle the load.

    When I do SLDLs I do them right after Squats. My hammies dominate my quads so I try to kill the quads first.

    My candyass soccor mom 24hr fitness does not have that machine so I've been alternating between lying and seated single leg curls. My last set is a super set with double leg curls after each single is completed till failure.

    I always train hamstrings first for this very reason. Ensures they get adequate work plus seems to serve as a good warmup for quads. Plus you need to train them within the right rep range. Hams are predominantly fast twitch so respond best to heavy weights/low reps. Poliquin recommends no more than 6 reps. My hamstrings also seem to respond best to these parameters

    I like using Bulgarian split squats with the back leg elevated. They work both quads and hams a lot. I tend to do squats, then the Bulgarian squats, then leg curls, and it actually feels pretty even. I had to experiment to find the right balance to use to get my quads more active on the split squats, but once I did, I started REALLY liking that setup.

    I really like split squats. Unilateral training is under rated. Single leg DB RDLs are awesome too.

    OP, You could try splitting them up. I hit quads and calves on Tuesday and then hams with back on Friday. My legs have grown quite a bit since doing this.

    Adjust the seated leg extension (assuming you have one of those) to make it suitable to do them. I now do 3x12 of those split with 3x12 of seated leg curls compared to usually doing 5x12 of seated leg curls alone.. the difference is night and day.

    Awesome idea...will give it a go!

    My hamstring work looks like this

    sldls 4x6-8
    seated leg curls 3x10
    lying leg curls 3x10
    single curls 3x10

    The last 3 are done in different order each workout.

    Right now until my legs get better my quad work is

    atg squats 5x6-10
    atg hacks 4x8
    leg ext 3x10
