    Count Calories? (Poll)

    Lately, Ive been counting calories pretty religiously. I do it through my iPhone's app called Lose It, which is pretty decent.

    There are many ways to count cals. (Even by paper). I'm just really curious to know if you guys do it, or not and if so for how long etc...

    I do it by pen and paper i'm cutting so kinda need to know what i'm taking in. Once i'm done cutting i'm sure i'll keep track but more just a mental track rather than an actual log of it on paper.

    Today is the first day I have ever actually tracked my food intake and I just started Mitotropin and a log - see link in signature... Rather interesting to do... really makes you think about what you eat.

    It actually helps with my cravings. I know that if I eat something that's beyond my cal expenditure I'll feel i guess less at ease but probably wont cry about it.

    I don't count my calories, even when I cut. Although, I probably should.

    Right now, I'm eating only lean meat and veggies and low carbs. I try to keep my stomach from growling, but I don't ever eat until I'm completely stuffed.

    I'm burning fat like a madman, too.

    I track it and keep a general count in my head. I'm pretty skilled at counting calls and portion sizes since I was crazy about counting calories a year or two back.

    I've been using the iphone app Nutrition, splits foods up into fat/carb/protein etc. The only time i don't count is when I'm eating a home cooked meal(i didn't cook) where its nearly impossible to add all the individual items, but i usually enter like 600-800 depending on the size. so yes, obsessive (more so after seeing results).

    Im doing a cut right now and do not count. A few years back I used to count everything so I got pretty good at doing it in my head. When I was putting on weight this last time, every so often I would count it up for a day just to make sure I was actually getting enough, cause sometimes it seems like you are eating a LOT when actually you are coming under your numbers by a few hundred each time. I find if easier to cut then gain.

    I just do the mental thing, try to balance out 3 solid meals a day with 2-3 snacks and everything works fine.

    I have a general idea and always read packages before eating (or look up on internet if out to eat or at dining hall). My meals aren't all planned out, though. Definitely very conscientious of the amount of calories I'm eating though.

    I dont count calories just roughly work them out in my head, trial and error really. I usually eat the same things everyday and if i dont gain weight i add another meal or up my quantity.

    I count but round up so much ex: breakfast 2 large eggs 2 scoops whey = 380 pro complex before lunch 260 cals. my total before lunch 700. but for cheat meals like going to a Chinese buffet i'll just assume i'm eating atleast 2000 most likely not but it helps me know where i'm at.

    I don't count calories, but i keep track of my PCF grams and count in my head. A veryyy rough guide, like i don't obsess over it. I don't measure food or weigh it etc. I can tell what's in something by the sight of it usually.

    i admit i count everything. i have my calculator with me all the time. i weigh and measure food too. not that im strict or anything, somedays i go over my ideal macros and calories even after adding in my training but i still track it just to...know i guess :S. its always usually the same thing most days. sometimes i do wish i could let go and not care as much but now its just more of a habbit than anything

    I used to count every calorie that went past my lips.

    After about 12 months I got fed up of being obsessed with weighing food and counting calories -- so I stopped. For the past few years I've just been eating whatever the hell I want, within moderation, or course. I still eat healthy and cut out the obvious junk snacks during the week, and don't eat the obvious fatty foods that are in the fridge that my little sister and brother eat. However, I still enjoy myself once or twice a week by pigging out at KFC or Burger King
