I just signed up at a Golds and met a couple of the trainers. One of them is a certified Crossfit instructor, so he invited me to do a work out with them.
We did:
275lbsx10 Deadlift
10 burpees
10 BW pull-ups
Three rounds for time.
My time was 10:45, and I thought I was going to die! Very intense workout.

Nice well those are some pretty good numbers anyway. GL with the Shoulder.
Well yesterday was my first time doing a crossfit workout with the exception of doing there "Fran" and "Cindy" workouts here and there to mix it up. I'll probably start doing crossfit once or twice a week.
www.coachdos.com his power training program is the one which I currently do, which has totally changed everything for me.The best Weightlifting forum on the web:

There's a very knowledgeable trainer over at EB.net who swears by crossfit training. He starts doing crossfit in the 2nd half of this journal. It seems interesting and very demanding.
Here's his journal http://www.extremebodybuilding.net/f...it-nation.html

I still train in the gym. I only do crossfit 3x a week in the morning. I hit the gym late in the afternoon and train BJJ 3x a week after the gym. Ever since I started crossfit, I have lost just a little strenght but I am feeling a lot better cardio wise. I ran my Army PT test last week and hit a 11:58 2 mile run.

I don't know in any of you are familar with Gant's Hybrid program, but I just started that and I have already seen gains in strength and fitness - it is a good mix of heavy power/oly lifting and metcon (there are also some gymnastics, but I haven't attempted any of them yet). You can find it in the crossfit forums.

This was fukin hard. Pullups chest to bar, and I don't think I've ever done thrusters THAT low. I barely broke 11 minutes, a good time is 4 minutes!!! How often do they cycle the WOD so you can compare times?
And I will train with my normal split later in the day if I'm not doing much that day and if the CF workout wasn't too long. But I just started it this week so it's all just speculation right now, but damnnn I'm sore.
