I hook my heels under the knee rest. You could hook your heels under a piece of heavy furniture, but you'll need a good mat under your knees. If you've got someone else ther you can get them to hold down your ankles. It's a great exercise for the hammies and glutes, so I'm hoping that it'll have some carry-over strength for my deadlifts
I've had to pay $35 for a gym visit when I'm travelling --- $10 pm is a great deal for the gym you've got
I glad that you and your family were safe
Impressive dips. +90lbs for 13 reps with good from is pretty alpha in my books!
Really nice looking lift. I have no doubt that your 395 was at least as good
I'm going for a 180kg/396lb 1RM this week, but if I get it it won't be anywhere near as neat as that lift
Good luck with the meet!
I love the C&Js done well! Great lifts! I lol'd at 'respect'. That was a very honourable failure at 107kg"Better to wear out than rust out!"
Squat 165kg/363lbs
Deadlift 190kg/418lbs

A little fuzzy, but here's a shot after my massive bench session this morning:

Goal here was to build abs, obliques, quads, the lot! I also had planned to lean out by end of October. Legs haven't changed much. Arms and shoulders responded very well, pics posted a few days ago.
I am 2lbs lighter in that second shot and it has taken me 6 months to lose it
I know the lighting is weird in the second one. Posture is slightly different and the right one is a closer shot.
I'm amazed how the obliques changed the thickness of the waist.

Well I had a few lifts I was pretty happy with this weekend, got 405 for 3 rep romanian deadlift, I like the romanian bacause I find I bounce the weight off the floor when I do full drop and then I end up hurting myself
2nd was I got 455 for a single rep, not near what someof you monsters can do but I'm happy with it after dropping the straps a little while ago (thanks flex for the inspiration to do that). Any comments on form are really appreciated

I don't post here much... but I should
I did this comparison shot for a recent blog post. I am bulking now and up 15lbs from my "stage weight" (figure show that was in June). I have made it back up to my "fat weight" from two years ago but I look completely different this time around. While I'm not all that comfortable with the extra jiggle I'm carrying, I wanted people to see what a difference the extra muscle mass I have gained has made in my body. I weigh 140lbs in both of these images.

Jealous of your waist to hip ratio.
And lovely V-tapering going on girl!
Clever use of the camera as well haha
Repped.

One thing I see is, as soon as you lift the weight off the ground instead of pulling it up in a straight line, you pull it in towards you just a bit. On your starting stance try moving closer to the bar about 1-2 inches. Once your able to dial the stance needed to correct that issue you should be able to hit 500+.
Everything else looks good. Good luck.-----------------

Thanks and as of Friday I was actually 255. Just haven't updated stats in awhile.
Watched it again and I can totally see what you meant. Will work on it. Goal is to pull 2x bodyweight. I'd like to do it While I'm bulking but I only have 12 weeks to hit it
Music isn't bad but I still wear my wireless earphones (in my ears in the video) when it's quiet they actually let me hook up my iPhone and play my workout playlist.

My wife took me to a buffet brunch today. I plowed through two plates full of meat, fish, and eggs. When we left, it felt like there was a rock in my stomach. When we got home, I took a three hour nap.
Moral of the story: rest and nutrition are important too!
Tomorrow is Chest, Shoulders, and Triceps. Have a good week everyone!"It doesn't matter what exercise you do, but man was made to move, to eat sparingly, to work hard and to screw as much as he can manage. Do all that, and you will look as good as your genes will let you, be content as the arseholes around you will allow, and maybe get a few screws. The particular virtues of weight training are in the discipline it brings to both mind and body, and, if you do it right, it will make you look good naked and do well what you got your clothes off to do." Awesome. I'm jealous that you have access to a great coach. The closest Oly gym from me that produces national level lifters is East Coast Gold in NJ, which is 3 hours away including heavy traffic. So for the past 2 years I have relied on e-coaches that I have met on the interwebz. My primary e-coach is a Canadian, my secondary e-coach is a Malaysian kid who is in the Cayman Islands who was trained under the Chinese system, and of course I ask Coaches Pendlay and McCauley feedback from time to time via Pendlayforum. So the learning curve is loooooooong. Hahaha. Nothing beats training with a great coach in real life for sure.
