Ditch your meal plan and develop a diet that combines sound nutrition with the foods you enjoy by eating when you see fit in the portions that allow you to achieve your macronutrient and caloric needs while providing sufficient micronutrients, energy and satiety. One can never forget that nutrition is a tool, not a restraint; the enjoyment of life should always come first. Psychological, sociological and emotional health should never be threatened by the attempt to increase physiological health.

^This. Don't worry about "eating 2 or 1 or 0 slices of bread" or whether or not it's okay to eat carbs before bed or any of that other bull, it's a waste of your time. Eat a lot, and I mean a lot, and lift hard. Go out of your way to eat lots of lean meats and high protein sources, and take full advantage of family meals... you should enjoy having food prepared for you while you can, son.

Egg whites, chicken, whey, and turkey. Fig out what you can afford and what source of protein is most cost efficient. Carbs and fats are fairly cheap. Oats, bread, bananas, veggies for carbs. Fats olive oil, natural peanut butter, almonds, and you can even throw some whole eggs in your diet for good fats and protein.

If you really can't take anything to school you can still take a couple of protein shakes with you and stick them in your locker or even your backpack. Make a protein shake blended with grinded oats, pb, and whey and some ice cubes. There you go, you won't need a microwave or fridge.

You really need to read the stickies and learn the basics about nutrition.

He's clearly stated that his goals are to loose bodyfat. Telling to him to eat lots of lean meats and high protein sources is only going to enforce a "clean foods" myth.
OP, if you want to loose weight you have to eat less than your body requires each day (called maintenance). Whether or not you SHOULD lose weight is a totally different matter..IF & IIFYM

I'm all for "eat big get big" but as DHSH said this kids goal is to lose bodyfat. It is easy for us older people to say "dude just eat big and get big" but many kids in high school want to get ripped and shreded and lose fat. That being the case "eath mothaf*cker!" may not be the best advice. So let's give him some direction on being healthy and some real advice here.
OP- You need to read the stickies and get a basica understanding of nutrition. It may be a bit confusing but you need to get a basic understanding. There is also a fine line which is what others are trying to say I believe. At 16 I wouldn't obsess about "doing it liek a bodybuilder" and drinking egg whites and eating tuna because "that is what bodybuilders do". If you want to get lean you need to eat the right amount of calories and get the proper amount of protein and fats. If you are in school I get it....it's fun for us to say "screw what people say bring chicken to school". It doesn't usually work that way in high school. College is different but I get it...in high school my teachers would have said "put that crap away" if I pulled out chicken.
In high school I always put protein shakes in my locker. You also don't need to eat 6-7 times a day. You can eat 3 or 4 or however many you want. You need to focus on hitting your calorie, fat, and protein goals in my opinion.

Can we get some pics? If you are sitting at 15% BF and a skinny-fat body, maybe all you really need is to pack on some muscle. If you're already pretty muscular at 15% BF and trying to lose some weight, try increasing your protein intake while also maintaining a calorie deficit. And if you aren't already doing this, eat at 3-4 hour intervals to 1. Keep your metabolism running high to burn more calories and 2. Prevent your body from going into catabolic-starvation mode so your body doesn't eat up all your muscle mass. This is pretty basic stuff and if you search the forum's threads, especially the "Losing Fat" forum, you'll find some pretty detailed info on general weight loss and extreme weight loss.
