they like to throw the ball to him and the end of shot clock situations cause they know he has the best chance to make a quick/high difficulty/very contested shot, brings down his percentage a bit because they do this multiple times a game. Also, he doesn't statpad like not throwing the ball to the other side of the court when the time is expiring

Because Kobe can make insane shots with people draped all over him, he has a tendency to take insane shots with people draped all over him. If he wanted to baby his fg% he could. The determined, stubborn mentality that causes him to take bad shots is also what makes him great. His confidence gets the best of him occasionally. So be it. I think people make a bigger deal of it then it really should be.
Every player has negatives that you could point to. It's a results driven world we live in and Kobe has gotten excellent results throughout his career.Wait, what?

I wasn't arguing that it was a always a good idea for him to force those shots. I'm just explaining why he does it. You have to take the good with the bad. There are no perfect players. Kobe is fun to watch and like I said he's gotten good results. He's won more than his fair share of awards and championships. We nit pick these guys too much.
Wait, what?

"He took shots where there was only going to be a fraction of a second between getting blocked and getting the shot off in time just to send a message to defenders. Kobe never showed a defender any respect from what I can recall."
^^^^
I think the most ironic stat I've ever seen regarding kobe is the fact that allen iverson, the chucker of all chuckers, has a career average more assists than kobe "team first" bryant
and 4.5 assists on a career night
"when Phil Jackson wrote The Last Season: A Team in Search of Its Soul. The book detailed the events of the Lakers' tumultuous 2003–04 season and has a number of criticisms of Bryant. In the book Jackson called Bryant "uncoachable"."
inb4 HE'S A BLACK MAMBA YOU CAN'T COACH KILLERS MAN THEY'RE JUST OUT THEIR SH*TTING ON PEOPLE NIGHT IN AND NIGHT OUT SO WOW SO AMAZE SUCH KOBELast edited by socrates07; 06-25-2014 at 05:04 AM.
