Hey all!
It's been a long journey, just thought I'd share. The before was in 2007, back when I weighed over 230 lbs. I have lost 90 lbs, and am constantly trying to improve.

I love coming here to be inspired at people progress and journeys. I began my journey six weeks ago now and have lost 7lbs so far. It's the most weight I have managed to lose in years. I began at 182lbs and currently I've got down to 177lbs. I've always had a really healthy diet but could not shift any weight and was 182lbs exactly for several years, never budging up or down. The only exercise I would do is a walking about 30 minutes a day.
My motivation to join the gym six weeks ago was because I was having relationship troubles, and sadly my relationship ended last week leaving me devestated. But I haven't fallen backwards, it has just made me even more determined to do something for myself and get as fit as I possibly can. I love lifting weights now and can't imagine not doing it because it gives me such a boost, plus I love seeing my body change slowly.
My goal is to get down to about 152lbs by this time next year. I really hope I can come back here and post my own before and after pictures!
Keep up the hard work ladies, you all look fabulous.

Wishing all references to yetta mae could be deleted since this is a sticky (i.e. timeless), and there are no pictures (could have uploaded to bodyspace and edited post when removed from linked external site).
I just wasted time clicking and scrolling through >3 pages of reference to this - This will happen to every new person who tries to garner something from this thread. It will always be on the front of Female Forum. And overall that's just a lot of disinterest generated for an otherwise really good sticky.modest gains everyday of my life

This was a long journey, about 5 years in between and MANY ups-and-downs (literally), but i finally made it. About 40lbs difference. The picture on the left was my freshman year in college. I did as most do, and gained 15+ lbs, because I turned to food for comfort from stress. I proceeded to yoyo diet my way through school, and gained and lost the same 10 lbs too many times.
This year, I set out to become the best version of myself that I could possibly be. I started lifting heavy, got serious about my macros, and did healthy amounts of cardio. I didn't have a coach, trainer, or dietitian...I did the research and put in the work and found what worked for me. Last weekend, I competed in my first figure competition, placing 5th in Figure Novice and 5th in Figure Open classes. I am currently in my "improvement season," as I like to call it, and working to put on some more muscle so that I can do another show in the Spring. I am in LOVE with my lifestyle and look forward to working out everyday!Instagram: @PursuitofFitness08

I went from 170 pounds to 120 pounds (pics in my profile). I started by bringing calories down in the beginning, keeping mostly proteins and eating a lot of eggs. I did a little cardio and P90X for the first 60 months. Then I was eating 1200 calories (40% carbs, 30% fat, 30% proteins) for about 12 months. Then I met my boyfriend who introduced me to strength training and the ketogenic diet a year and a half ago. I did about 1400-1500 calories a day (25% proteins, 5% carbs and 70% fat) for about 8 months. I dropped body fat while eating more. I stopped keto to see what it would do to reintroduce more fruits and vegetables. I get more bloated so I will try and adjust my carb intake since I don't digest carbs that well and see how far I can still go! I try to train 5 times a week, 2 times legs, 1 shoulders, back & abs and then an abs, chest, shoulders, biceps and triceps. I warm up 10 minutes with hiit on the inclined treadmill before each workout (sometimes I switch to spinning or elliptical).

Its only really been the last 4 months that i have seriously focused on building muscle/leaning out. Prior was about weightloss
