The internet is out and I realize

that I fukking depend on the internet for way too much.

inb4 callout for using the internet to post this.

Also can’t do WFH which is a problem because I can’t stand going to coffee shops to use wifi.

I miss the days when my brain didn’t depend on the internet so much.

i've read the healthy amount to be on the internet per day is like 1-2 hours per day or less. working on getting there.

Yea, kind of scary when you think about how much we depend on the internet these days and how fragile it really is.

-Working from home
-Access to and management of your money
-purchasing stuff (debit/credit card use)
-accessing information/news/etc
-communicating with family/friends
-navigation
.....the list goes on

WFH makes that close to impossible because during downtime I naturally just browse and chit.

I wonder how many hours of internet the average American consumes.

yeah whenever my power goes out I'm fukking bored, either on my phone dinking around or trying to see if my wifi works yet...
but thats how most people are and a reality of modern day life, assuming you include phone data in with internet, they need social media youtube tv etc, no one randomly decides to go out a walk or enjoy nature

I suppose I’m lucky that I’m a music instrument enthusiast and have a Guitar Center-like abundance of stuff to play on.

But what annoys me are how modern consoles play almost no games without the internet.
