Got into a car accident. How is life going to be now ?

12/30/2023:
Clocked out at 2 pm on a sat. Started shift at 6am.

Remember sitting in the car and driving for 5 mins. Next thing I know I'm waking at Boston medical center. My hip is broken and I need surgery.
They put 3 screws in me 2 days later. It took me until March 27th 2024 to get back to the gym.

Im going to have a court hearing soon about this. Cause supposedly I hit a car that was parked with their hazards on , on the right shoulder lane. This was on i-93 north, I'm going from Quincy to Everett.

These are the pictures my uncle took when he went to get my phone from the car, which was in the junkyard.

I don't remember anything to this day.

Io have attached the crash report and the drawing of what the state police think might have happened. I say bull****. there was no reason for me to be driving like that at that time.

no. its a 40 min drive, i had to take exit 21.
Seems like the crash happened withing 15 mins of me being on the road. At exit 8.
So i have no idea what could have gone wrong at the same road i usually take.

Im missing a rear bumper. but no one wants to believe I was hit from the back.

I will save it for the judge i guess.

In the other car there was an asian family. couple and 13 year old son. They are injured. so it has to go to court.
No footage or camera's.

And i was the worst hit. so i better not get fukked here

65k total from the ambulance to the rehab and therapy.
Covered completely by my employer through Cigna insurance.
If not for this, I too would have had to become an astronaut srs

Generally, if you hit them from behind, you are at fault.

The other day I had some tradie brake check me twice. If I had hit him, it wouldve been split 50/50 since he was brake checking on purpose but I was still following close enough to rear end him.

Obviously, since I did not hit him, I wasn't following dangerously close enough, now did I? However, he was causing me to brake unnecessarily and impeding regular flow of traffic.

From the damage it's clear as day what happened : the report says he went around a line up of cars. ..and hit the suv from behind

He obviously attempted to swerve at the last second which made the side of his car take most of the impact...all the way thru to knocking his bumper off.

This sounds like the most reasonable situation. Driving at 6AM probably dosed off for a split second, woke up and saw he was about to hit cars in font of him, swerved in emergency reaction and hit car sitting in emergency lane, blanked out and does not remember anything.

Dunno , the report made it sound like he was inpatiently trying to get around traffic to me.

Obviously he feels some what guilty otherwise he wouldn't be making up bullchit about getting rear ended when the damage to his vehicle and the others involved aren't consistent for that whatsoever

Why did your bumper fall off ? Physics dummy. You hit the suv hard enough on the side of your car that it caused a ripple effect in terms of impact. Not just the exact point of impact is effected In a car accident

No . The report is completely plausible imo . And why is the impact on the side so much and not straight on ? Well when you drive a short little chit box it doesn't take much swerving to miss a head on collision. If you hadn't of swerved, it would have been a lot more ugly. Accept responsibility, learn from it , and move on.

Cause i have been driving that **** box for a long time. knew it like the back of my hand.

Even If i had swerved at that speed, I would have been on the left side of the highway, you are telling me I swerved clean across half the highway and his this chinaman's car that was parked with his hazard lights on, and nothing in between? I would have tried to steer it away , atleast .
