I would not use the word trash, but many people come from what are called disadvantaged backgrounds and struggle with depression, mental health, spiritual issues, etc - it's actually quite common for people like this to really try in life and keep having things go wrong for them.

I would say that I am wiser now than I was before, but I am having certain issues that I have no control over that are affecting my ability to perform and succeed.

First off....yes I am using the term "trash" loosely for dramatic affect. But ultimately life is hard....and there are many pitfalls. When I sit back and study the people who are genuinely content and on the right path and ones that are not.....its easy to see similarities in the approach.

The constant similarity is that few of those people make excuses for their predicament. Most all of them are disciplined. (showing up when you dont feel like it) and most all of them are passionate about what it is they are spending time on.

Everyone has circumstances in life that set them back. I would have been damn near a prince in my home country had it not been taken over by communist. I dont sit around and cry about that fact. We grew up in poverty. Around drugs. Most of my childhood friends are dead or in jail. I am not saying I had the worst of it.....but life isnt easy for anyone i dont believe.

Its the ones with the common values I laid out above that succeed. And no matter if I am worth $50K or $100M.....my kids will grow up with those same values. We work hard every day. We fail every day. WE put ourselves ot the test a lot. And we learn from our set backs.
