Here is a video I thought I'd pop in for the hunters out there, a simple explanation of how to bottle meats and make it last longer.

I just finished butchering a moose for a friend and while I was cutting, making burger and sausage she bottled off 48 bottles. It's a very simple process and is probably one of my Favorite ways to eat meat and fish.

I have bottled many game species, moose, bear, elk, deer, beaver, caribou, seal, rabbit, all kinds of waterfowl, upland game birds and fish. It's also a great way to save that meat you had in the freezer for a while from going bad.

Yup Mark, bottling has been around a long time, I love it, it's some pretty damn good eats too. I hack off a hunk of Homemade bread and throw that along with a bottle of something in my pack and I am good for the day.




I did a lot of wood carving over the years and still do a little bit. One of my favorites is to make canes and walking sticks out of Diamond Willow. I don't have any on the go at the moment because I used all my stock last winter making 14 walking sticks that I donated to a senior residence. In the past what I did was tell the staff to leave them at the doors and residents could use them and return them, It worked great however covid changed all that. So the old farts played bingo for them and got to keep them permanently.
