You will exit the simulation and for the first time in your life actually use your body, use your five senses, feel the real.... learn the truth. Learn about limits/ boundaries of the simulation that you thought never existed
But your family, your friends, where you live etc everything of your simulation life will be gone. Also your real physical appereance might even be different.
Would you embrace the reality or stay in the fake universe?

If it was confirmed we're living inside a Simulation, would you wanna exit?

I’d want to know why I was dealt with such a sh-tty simulation experience first and foremost
"One day I won't be able to lift any more. Not I won't want to lift. I mean physically unable. That day could be decades from now or it could be tomorrow. All I know is that's the day I'll wish I could lift more than ever. The day I'd give anything for one more workout, one more set, or one more cardio session. So go hard and enjoy every workout, every set, every rep. Because one day you will wake up and you will never get it back."

Depends what kind of simulation you're talking.
If you're talking matrix-esque simulation, fuk it ignorance is bliss right? If your simulation is happy and that is your entire existence, it's real enough. Better than living in a matrix-esque world where you're bent over by your robot overlords.
But in actual 'simulation theory', exiting wouldn't really be a thing that even makes sense to discuss. It's not like you're a human 'plugged into' the simulation, the core of simulation theory is that your entire consciousness exists only inside the simulation, it's not a human who has a body, who's plugged in and can be unplugged. The idea being theoretically in the future, if we know what all the correlates of consciousness are then we should be able to create artificial consciousness... obviously a hugely challenging task but possible, in principle.Last edited by TappingTheZen; 09-05-2021 at 06:40 AM.

Yeah i was talking actual 'Simulation Theory' as it was originally proposed by Nick Bostrom, and the likes of Max Tegmark. There's lots of ideas, but Bostrom's is what's usually referred to when talking about 'Simulation theory'.. if you google simulation theory the overwhelming majority of top results will be Bostrom's. This is by far the most logically consistent 'version' of simulation theory that i've seen, that makes reasonable sense given what we know about physics.
I never said we were NPC's, please don't misquote me lol. If consciousness, in principle is an emergent phenomena from physical matter, and can be created in silicon then there's no reason to consider that artificial consciousness in a simulation as any less 'real' than say, a human consciousness. If you subscribe to this idea, being in a simulation doesn't make you any more an 'NPC' than someone living in the 'real' or basement level reality.
But yes i understand there are different approaches, that's why i mentioned both options because you didn't specify an interpretation lol :S. But they are very different ideas because they are built on completely different axioms, with different futures for humanity, so both could have a very different answer to your question.
Either way i don't buy into simulation theory, but it's fun to think aboutLast edited by TappingTheZen; 09-05-2021 at 07:14 AM.

Too much of a gamble if you have zero idea what the REAL world is like.
Remember how Cipher hated the fact that he was 'freed' in the Matrix and made a deal with the Matrix itself, just to get immersed again with a new life? I feel that real life would WORSE than what I'm in now. Like living in a sewer, scavening for food, being hunted down by machines, no real future.
It would be naive to believe that the real world would be sunshine and roses and anything resembling a Utopian society."Honor is something that all men are born with. It cannot be taken from you nor can it be granted. It must only not be lost."
