Most RE games are short. What makes it long is the time you walk back and forth. If you know what to do + good at killing/got lots of ammo, it is short.

10 hours on first playthrough is normal for most single player games(unless RPG with lots of repetitive side quests - and even doing the main quests are usually not that long).

I'm expecting it to run around the same length as RE:7 which I beat in just under 15 hours I believe.

7 hours would be literally running the entire game with zero item pick ups

Took me 90 minutes just to get past the intro into the village because I picked up all the items for crafting since ammo is very scarce



Why anyone would play this type of game without exploring is stupid; the scenery is next level

I am taking my time. Searching every corner, exploring every area, option. The inventory, crafting, the combat. Reminds me of re4. The story well so far confused a little. Two things in particular.

1. Chris turned heel? I don’t understand his mission here so far but see where it’s leading. 2. He and Mia started a family in the same house. I maybe missed something.

To those asking if should play Re7 first. It’s up to you but there is an option to watch a recap of re7 and the events leading to this one. After watching it I’d say it covers the main stuff... I do however believe going back and playing part 7 ought be done because it is ****ing awesome!

Just started it on Hardcore mode and was stuck on that survive the werewolf attack section for like 2 hours lol. Had no idea what I was supposed to do and they just wipe the floor with you on Hardcore

Yeah, i'm finding it's not worth engaging with most enemies on hardcore. I'm really enjoying it so far. A few hours in right now.

My dudes, the video is up, you can watch it for yourselves. The player was picking things up. Granted, it appeared to be a rehearsed run and thus the short duration but the dude was picking up items.

It is a short game. If that's what you like then you'll get no disrespect from me. I usually don't do first person games and was thinking about getting this one to try it out, but after seeing how short the game is I just can't justify spending the cash.

For me Re2 remake had around that amount with the various campaigns.

Jesus Christ, even DEVELOPERS who work for xbox/sony/nintendo enjoy games on their competitions hardware!! I have seen Insomniac leads praising Wasteland 3, Guerilla congratulating Nintendo on BOTW, etc. Why are so many miscers so tribal about billion dollar gaming companies?

It was fun but highly forgettable. I dont even remember much about it. Yet RE5, I at least remember some parts.
