depends who you are. by the time games hit gamepass ive played them years earlier.

It's an insanely good service. So many great games on there from multiple genres, and more arrive every month.

I won't even buy many games for my xbox, as all MS first party comes to game pass day 1, and I can wait to play third party games. Especially with them going up to $70. And game pass bundles with EA play as well (on console at least), so I just have to wait 6 months to a year to play any EA game after release.


Plus game pass let's you try new games you would never buy essentially "risk free". I have played so many games I would normally never purchase, and come to find out... had a great time with them. People who say game pass has only "mediocre" games is either lying, uninformed, or only likes to play one type of game.

Phil Spencer has completely turned the xbox ship around. It was in an awful place during the early Xone years with Don Mattrick in charge.

Trying to beat Bloodstained right now before it leaves. It's a great Castlevania spiritual successor.

It's a good service, but I'd rather own my games. I play a select few games for hundreds if not thousands of hours, it just makes more sense for me to buy them rather than pay a subscription fee to access a ****load of games, of which I'll only end up playing like 5 of them.

I could agree with that. My uncle only plays a couple games a year, but for a ton of hours. Not worth it in that case.

Yeah it's easily the least cuck'd way to approach gaming in this day and age. Screw buying most of these new games these days.

Gamepass for me has been great and definitely worth the value. Even if you are hardcore gamer, for all the little indie games and one offs you would never buy or play otherwise that you get to mess around with while between big hits or want a break from your COD sessions or whatever, its nice to have. If you have an xbox its kind of a no brainer at this point.

Mechwarrior 5 has been a perfect example. Randomly downloaded it with a few buds and have been playing the chit out of it

Same, like i would have never bought Dirt 5 or Wreckfest and it has them

They also got Wolfenstein and a bunch of other chit it seems like every month there are new good games

Wait until games like Forza Horizon 5, the next Wolfenstein, and every other Microsoft game is on there Day 1 of release.

I am paying £10.99 per month for it, but only signed up for Gears 5. I am currently playing Witcher III which I will be playing for a while longer as it is an enormous game with so much to do. Game pass seems worth it though given the sheer amount of high rated games you can download at no extra fee.

So yeah, I can't see myself purchasing another game separately whilst I have this pass.
