If we ever have a Civil War I will become a spy.
I think I would be good at it.
I got an interview with the CIA when I was young but my mom stole the letter and didn't tell me until I got a different job.
She's also kind of a spy.
Anyway, I pull off a MEAN crazy drunk redneck so I would be *perfect*EX IGNORANTIA AD SAPIENTIAM
EX LUCE AD TENERBRAS

This. The only way a civil war is ever happening in the U.S. again is MAYBE if the economy tanks so badly that it's literally like the Great Depression of the 1930's. Then, it's perhaps slightly possible something like that could happen.
Civil wars don't happen when a country is prospering financially. As much as people bitch and moan, the idea of being in basic poverty here is living off government subsidies and/or crappy jobs while still having a roof over your head, internet, smart phones, and proper shelter with modern utilities. Unless there comes a day when a signficant portion of people simply can't have even that basic lifestyle anymore, then there could be real issues.
If you're really worried about this, you need to get off the internet and listen to people IRL talk more often. 95% of the conversations that 90%+ of people have revolve around crap like sports, hunting, fishing, pop music, Hollywood movies, and living vicariously through their children by endlessly talking about their academics/extra curiculars/hobbies. Of the few people who ever talk politics IRL, most of them just bitch about things they have zero actual understanding of, and aren't motivated to do anything other than cry about it once in awhile. You're delusional if you really believe that revolts are going to happen by a society that is like 65% obese and can't be bothered to put their smart phones away for more than 5 minutes.

No offense to you because a lot of people are echoing the same sentiment but it's pretty retarded to think fat, dumb, lazy boomers are going to be the fuel to ignite the civil war. Angry, young, disillusioned males would be the ones starting and fighting in a civil war. There are more and more of them all the time. Young, white males are only going to get angrier as the country counties to change. Tucker Carlson accurately points out that this big weed push is from elites to keep the angry young males sedated and repressed because the elites are afraid. Fat boomers sitting in their recliners who take sports too seriously are irrelevant.
Look at Canada as an example, Alberta and much of west Canada already want separation. Once 2016 and the Trump era is over and the left really starts to exert it's dominance politically and culturally, chit is going to hit the fan. Things aren't bad enough for a civil war yet, but things are going to get much worse over the next 20 years. Wouldn't be surprised if an economic collapse hits too.

Your post started out making sense and then you went full blown conspiracy theorist and jumped off the deep end of coherence into la-la-land
Tucker Carlson is "the elite" and whatever conspiracy stuff he says about marijuana legalization is a joke. That segment you're referring to is nothing more than him reading off a teleprompter some producer wrote because they want to stoke some fear in his viewer base while perpetuating some stereotypes about weed making people sedated and lazy.
And the next bit about "the left exerting its dominance" making "**** hit the fan" is straight up doomsday prep nonsense. Did you write this post from your bunker? How do they get internet 10ft underground to your shipping container?

When this thread came up at another forum I go to recently there were many of those same kinds of posts by people who don't understand civil wars and especially how they begin.
I've spent my life studying civil wars and civil conflicts of all kinds. That's why I spent so much time on Ukraine, Syria and other conflicts around the globe here at this forum. I've literally been studying warfare since I was 6 years old and old enough to read our family's Encyclopedias, history books, books on the Vietnam War and the Korean War and US Civil War, and many other similar books in our family's library which my dad had extensively stocked especially during his days in college getting his Master's in History with emphasis in Education. I took after him in loving to read but for some reason my earliest desires to read were quickly drawn to the history of warfare; never in a sick sense, but always in a 'I need to understand this' sense; yes, even at that very young age.
If anyone thinks civil war can't happen here, can't happen here soon, or that we're not getting dangerously closer to it - you're simply wrong.
In most civil wars generally the vast majority of the population is not involved in the fighting but many do become the helpless victims of it. That's the mistake that you are making - thinking 'well civil war can't happen because the people just aren't fit to fight' or 'but we're all fat and lazy' or 'well the people really aren't all that mad and angry' and thinking that civil wars require a majority of the population's involvement when in reality they usually only involve a very small % of the country's population directly in the fighting (but kill and harm and otherwise cause problems for a much greater % of the population)
Civil wars aren't waged between lazy couch potato citizens, or by fairy fly libs vs Proud Boys, or between angry citizens who didn't get their welfare check, or by the majority of the population.
They're waged between two different political groups seeking to be the government and their respective militaries ... two disparate groups in government who absolutely will not accept the politics of the other, have reached an irreconcilable dead end road with nonviolent attempts to resolve their issues, and instead choose to fight with military force over it.
ie. Civil wars generally are not waged primarily between 'different groups of the people' but rather 'different groups of the government and their militaries.'
There are plenty of those on the left in the military and especially in military leadership who would follow the orders of Dems questioning the constitutional order and declaring their own president.
Those in the military (and law enforcement as well) are sworn to uphold the Constitution and follow the orders of the president and usually that keeps the peace very well. However what happens when there are two completely different realities as to who exactly is the constitutional government and president ... and who is the unconstitutional opponent to that constitutional government that must be dealt with and/or defended against with the use of military force? THAT is a constitutional crisis that causes civil war.
THAT is how it happens in the current climate, not by what any of you all are thinking.
We are getting dangerously close, by actions done by Dems in Washington DC and by their propaganda agents in the media to corrupt the constitutional order wherein Obama admin/Clintons/DNC/deep state/their media/etc abused office, abused the press, abused the public trust, and created a false narrative to attack a political opponent, all continuing until today, all leading to a question wherein the question of proper constitutional order is getting closer and closer to being completely lost and being split by two opposing governments and their militaries.
Our military men and women are ready and willing to use military force, and many among our citizen population are willing to work with them as needed to that effect, should constitutional order be lost and two competing realities of who is the constitutional government come to be.
Once a civil war begins, very quickly all of a country's military weaponry and equipment gets pulled into it by each side. One thing is for certain - with the massive amount of military firepower, the vast stockpiles of artillery, mortars, bombs, missiles, etc - the fighting of a US Civil War II could be some of the most catastrophic and destructive ever seen if it went nationwide and for any significant period of time.Last edited by LukeLissen; 10-27-2019 at 09:01 PM.

Feel free to disagree on the weed portion but the left exerting it's dominance in the near future isn't really debatable. Texas is turning blue within the next 10 years and then Republicans can never win again (unless they essentially become the left with a couple, minor differences.)
You can look up polling about how various demographics feel about the 1st and 2nd amendment from Pew. Only white Americans support strong 1st and 2 amendment protections, while every other group supports hate speech laws and gun control. I don't think it's a conspiracy to say the demographic shift over the last 50 years was done our purpose. It's been too drastic and rapid not to have been intentional. Homogeneous populations=strong, multiracial/multicultural=weak with conflict inevitable.
