I agree. Too much with mean spirited politics now. Regardless of what side of the political fence you stand on, these shows are meant to be humorous, and entertain...versus being a sounding board for either the host, or guests.

Carson was the king...I loved watching him with my parents when I was a little kid, and I love watching the old shows on Youtube now.
This crop of professional talk show hosts that are on TV now are a sad fukkin joke compared to even 90's Leno, never mind Carson.

Great stuff. I used to watch the late night shows but now you cant go 30 seconds without getting preached at. Shame really as they could be really funny if they wanted to be.

The shows aren’t funny because the hosts all bring political correctness to the forefront and don’t take swipes at all the groups of people that need making fun of. Bill Burr is a liberal, for instance, but he goes after pretty much everyone. He’s still pretty funny because he makes fun of liberals and conservatives alike without fear. I don’t have to agree with his politics to agree he’s funny.
