This is huge. Once you've been in shape it acts as it's own motivation. If you were never in shape in your younger years it might seem like too massive of a mountain to overcome especially if you've already started to go downhill.

Some people simply can't find someone good who they end up being happy with. If that wasn't the case, no one would die alone. Yet look at how many people do end up single.

There are many cases where people are stuck in a dead end situation who are severely depressed and therefore let themselves go.
A positive attitude is great and it's no secret that hard work and discipline gets people ahead in life. But it's not like the right attitude can fix everyone's life.

Pretty much all the super jocks who did stints of college sports are all either fat or skinnyfat now with no gains remaining to show for several years of bike riding, and the nerds who either weren't into fitness at all or just did track/cross country/dance/soccer/basketball/volleyball halfasssedly are all getting legit flabby dad bods/lard assses with no lean mass/mom mini-cow to full-blown landwhale status.

Almost NONE of them stayed even remotely fit after having kids. Other than the groups I already mentioned which account for like 70% of them, another 20% went through a full-on blubber butt wildebeest phase and then turned into ********/instagram "workout gurus" who obsess over their former fat status non-stop (we'll see how they hold up by their 40's, lol), and about 10% of us actually stayed in reasonably good shape.

I'm 39 and know what depression is and have experienced many times in my life. All you listed was a bunch of stuff that the person has the power to change. Do not like being fat? Change it. Don't like your job? Change it. Don't have quality friends? Change it. You mentioned family...relationships are voluptuary...including the ones with your family. A know a sh!tload of people that don't have a lot of money and they enjoy life.

Most of what you just mentioned is based in denial, lack of drive to be better, excuses or lack of willingness to deal with their sh!t. You could give me any scenario and I can tell you how that person changes it. Do some have it harder than others? Of course...but it's not a death sentence and people that think that way suck.

How you age is lifestyle and genetics. A lot of balding bros have had diets, substance abuse issues, sleep poorly, deal with degenerates daily (hence stressed) and don’t exercise. Skin type is also important. Some skin types age worse and are less resilient under harsh sun/ cold weather.
