Six votes from a 2/3 supermajority to get a guilty verdict on articles of impeachment in a GOP-controlled Senate. LOL, Sad!
After Mueller's report comes back that Trump does, in fact, have shady business ties to the Russian mafia and has taken bribes in his business dealings, the writing will be on the wall.

OP is a ****head, no doubt, but I don't see what big changes will happen to you in 15 years which will cause you to stop coming around. If anything, you get older, you settle down, you have more time available to **** around posting at bb.com. Right now, if you're unattached or without kids and wife and obligations like that, if anything your time *now* shouldn't be wasted posting on forums - when you're middle aged, why not?
All truth passes through three stages. First, it is ridiculed. Second, it is violently opposed. Third, it is accepted as being self-evident.

Don't shoot the messenger. This is coming from the Brookings Institute, which is a very heavy hitter. Actual article from them: https://www.brookings.edu/blog/fixgo...in-the-senate/
Why do you think that? He's got abysmally low approval ratings, half the country completely abhors him, a majority of republican voters are getting sick of his chit, and the GOP has done nothing to hide that they'd much prefer someone like Pence, Ryan, or another GOP lackey who would pull the party line. If anything the country would blow its load if he were removed from office.
And it's not turning into a farce, it's always been one.
The current impeachment motions are for obstruction of justice, and if the Russia investigation does turn up financial ties to Trump, that'll be what sets it off.

As an aside, Cali rep Jackie Speier is tossing around the idea of invoking the 25th amendment, arguing that Trump's erratic behavior is showing signs of mental instability and an inability to serve: http://www.newsweek.com/trump-impeac...endment-651620

"Only" 6 senate votes away. Might as well be 30. 6 votes in the senate is a chitload.

Newt agrees it's going off the rails, and he's been on the Trump train from the beginning.

As much as I don't want Trump to be president, there are two issues with impeachment. First: Pence. Second: What high crime or misdemeanor has he committed? He's not smart. He bungles just about everything. And, he's not a leader by any means. How can we use any of that in an impeachment? It would be bad to shoot too high and miss.
I think the best we can hope for is either more Republicans to come out against him to put a muzzle on him and stop his wrong-headed agenda in its tracks now, or have an overwhelming anti-Trump victory in the mid-terms and accomplish the same.
Either way, it's clear that it's up to Trump alone to turn things around to prevent all of the above.E Pluribus Unum

They got Bill Clinton on perjury for lying about a BJ. If that's where the bar is set, they can find anything. Trump can't open his mouth without lying. Just put him under oath to testify about anything at all and you'll get perjury charges.
The best bet for real crimes is going to come from his Russian mafia connections or a violation of the Emoluments clause.

False equivalency and his approval rating is down even among Republicans. You're seeing more and more from the GOP saying they're getting sick of his antics, but unfortunately he has blinders on and only seems to listen to what his core base says. Which even the most generous estimates say is a quarter of GOP voters.
And again, while the messenger may be bad, the 25th amendment is still something that hasn't been brought up until now and is something Trump really needs to be wary of, especially if he keeps alienating his party.

again, on what grounds? for correctly stating the obvious that antifa is a violent group?
Pyschologists in 30 years will use Trump Derangement Sydrome as a classic case studyif mass hysteria
considering liberals are statistically significantly more likely to have mental disorders, this isnt entirely shocking but its truly a spectacle to watch people like op not see hiw manipulated his mind has become over trump. all sense of rationale and reason has vanished from their brains and pure vitriol has taken their spot. It has to be hard to come with terms , op, that you allowed CNN to completely take control of your conscious but its not to late to regain control.Last edited by JaxBrah; 08-18-2017 at 09:05 AM.

Usually, polls are weighted to compensate for a higher than expected sampling of one demo or another, but how far adrift does it have to be to have a president elected with 49% of the vote lose nearly 20 points in seven months? Seems to me even the sloppiest pollster wouldn't be that far off. Besides, even if they are sloppy as long as they are consistent in their sloppiness, then the direction things are trending is correct. His approval is tanking no matter how you look at it.
