Pretty chit day today boys.
I mentioned last week that I've been having issues with my right shoulder, and despite regular PT, it's actually been getting worse. At today's appointment, they sat me down and said they're no longer going to treat me, that they want me to see an orthopaedic surgeon. Said it could be as simple as a nerve issue, but that it's beyond them. Frustrating and scary.
And at the same time...it's started to effect my pistol shooting. Shot for league today, and I was 20 points below my average (242-222) for the year. Literally never posted a target under 239....and my first two were 220's. I was hanging on in the top 5 of the league by half a point. And despite shooting twice as many targets this week...couldn't even hit a 240.
So I'm sitting here pounding beers with a shoulder that hurts like a mother****er, getting **** talked to me by the shop owner that I was holding off for 5th place.

I know varmint describes the barrel profile but it's just funny to see varmint and
.308 in the same sentence.

Don't know if it's been discussed, but anyone seen this new shot Hunted? I think it's on CBS. Looks fun as hell. Basically teams of two have to evade capture from former intelligence, cops, military, etc. for 28 days after being given a 1 hour head start. They have to stay within a 100,000 mile zone, but if they succeed they get $250k.
Some of the people seem to have good ideas and some are kind of pathetic, but it makes me really think about how I would do it.Everything depends upon execution; having just a vision is no solution.

Also the executive order on federal firing freezes didn't impact me. Got the firm offer today and my first official day is the day before I leave for a week to Punta Cana. Feels good man.

I was watching the video on youtube of that Washington Mall shooter and kept thinking someone should've still shot him even if it might be illegal to carry in there.
I never try anything I just do it!

Did you watch it? I expected it to be more dramatic and fake looking, but it seems decent. Like I said some of the contestants have really good ideas. Then there's the morons who use the ATM at the bus station and immediately buy a ticket to a city...like the trackers won't be there waiting for you when you get off the bus.

Form 4'ing a can this weekend I think. I'm already in on a form 1, might as well just complete a two stamp gun.
I was debating waiting for HPA but I'm betting it will be a ways off.

Whoops spoilers lol

I was watching it in the background, the couple were hiding in the swamp or something and then came to visit a friend and were caught. I thought this was generally the best idea (hiding in a swamp, brb can't track you there) but then they came out to see a friend like retards. I'd just chill out in the desert/mountains for a month after I bought a bunch of canned food and water.Last edited by AgRyan; 01-26-2017 at 07:06 PM.

I'll put it this way, that book is the most valuable training you'll do for yourself. More so than taking a class from Haley/Pat Mac/etc (I have done both, I know).
- Stopped man attacking two women in parking lot
- He was very aggressive
- Had to tell him I was armed and to back off
- He backed off
- He started making hand gestures like he had a long gun and was shooting me. He was winking and smiling in a "just you wait" manner.
- So I followed him at about a 10-15 yard distance through parking lot so that I can make sure he's not egressing to retrieve an actual/real long gun

Lol. Still worth checking out. The ones that make it interesting are the ones that do well, not the ones that get caught. There's one team in particular that seems like they should do really well. There's so far maybe 2 or 3 teams that are pretty interesting to watch and see they're way of doing things.

Yeah, dude is definitely a beast.
And agreed with the airport people. The ones behind him didn't even run away. Couldn't believe that. Literally frozen like a deer in the headlights. Some people man
This video has a better angle as well. Not sure how that can really help lol, but just an excuse to post this ITT again. The rifle just has an A2 birdcage on it.
Good to hear babe
On the surface, I like the freeze. There is way too much wasteful spending, especially on a lot of these agencies. I'm not sure if the VA was one of those that was safe from the freeze (I know the military and ICE/BP was), but if the end result actually gets wasteful spending down then it will have been a good move. Of course it's rather easy for me to say this when I don't have a job on the line.Misc Firearms Crew

From what I read the VA is supposed to be impacted. Right now they're handling it in a manner of still hiring people that are involved in direct patient care, but if they're on the administrative end of things they're not hiring. That could all change though once they receive more direction on it. So I think since my new job is technically part of the patient care side of things, and it was already almost completed, it was able to go through.
I'm not sure how I feel about the freeze. One part of me things it's good in general so they can evaluate all the agencies and trim some of the fat and bureaucracy, but another part of me realizes that it definitely has the potential to damage the efficiency of services (for any of the agencies affected). It's only supposed to be a 90 day thing we were told though, so who knows. It defnitely sucks when you're personally invested in it though like I was. I'm glad it worked out though.Everything depends upon execution; having just a vision is no solution.

So, a Navy wife up in Newport, RI just posted something about the Newport News, VA Treasurer's Office sending her a letter that she was about to get owned if she didn't pay. Probably 10 idiot women posted that she didn't have to pay it and that she should just have her husband send in his LES.
Thank Trump I saw this. She could've had her credit wrecked and a world of fees thrust upon her. Taxes of Piss.

this. I watched about half of the first episode, when I heard the rule about the money tho I kind of tuned out. That was a major handicap to the fugitives.
wow that's really interesting. Pretty strange behavior tbh, did the women involves say how they knew him? How big was this guy?
