I thought my back was holding tight pretty good after a few months. That and raising the weight distracted me from not arching back as predominantly when walking into the bar. So I started doing it more again after stalling two weeks in a row and the form feels a lot more solid.

I been listening to some interesting podcast via Joe Rogan. Time restricted dieting is something I've just started, we'll see where that takes me. It's simple and the easiest "diet" I've seen. 9am to 6pm (9 hour window) I eat...outside of that only drink water. It's not been too difficult to follow, we'll see if it helps with weight loss.


Other than that been a crazy few years have moved twice and sold a house again, so that's no fun. Feel like once we settle in a forever (or at least a few decades long) house I can figure out a home gym and schedule again. Got the eyes on a brand new subdivision in an area we want to live that hasn't even got a model house built yet...only negative there the developer won't just sell a lot and we're not ready to buy/build/move just yet.

Boy oh boy my new gym has some excellent Hammer Strength equipment. For years I worked out with just my hardc0re barbell, bench and power rack and looked down upon such equipment.

Look guys, you're not always gonna be pushing every exercise to the max to make gains each session. I mean, I do, but the important thing is to check your ego at the door and do the exercise properly. Don't even get me started on muscle imbalances.

That's probably right. It's quite brilliant considering the accuracy. It's not comfortable to hear you've been tricked, and no matter the logic presented, the emotional stranglehold is so strong that many people won't even consider it to be the case.

Innate understanding of systems on a novice level develops a holistic sense of truism, but the objective world is more properly understood through a personally political networking of learned concepts and empirical proofing. One is supposed to divorce their own agency when dealing with circumstances w/ incomplete information. Twist theories to fit facts instead of twisting facts to suit theories.

We have plate loaded machines in the free-weight room while the selectorized is in the overall machine area in the front. They take up a pretty good section of the free-weight room actually.

That's pretty cool. Ours are all grouped together by body part with all the free weights and racks lined up along the side. So chest day is a different area than back day etc.

I think in 15 years I've seen abouts 3 different arrangements. Key difference from the first to the current setup is that hammer strength machines were in the middle while the racks and benches were on the perimeter, now it's opposite. Seems like optimal spacing is the prime concern.
