Literally creatine, not the bicycle version
Cliffs :
- Purchased some creatine because it's cheap and because I've never used it consistently before
- Started using it on the regular, one scoop (5g) a day
- Life went on as usual
- After about a month, I go for a haircut. At the end of the haircut, the barber pulls out a mirror to show the back of my head.
- I legit freeze, notice a hairless spot at the top-back. I was feeling uneasy, first time this happened
- Checked it out again at home, it was indeed noticeable, fukk.
- Dropped the creatine, because it was the only thing I added to my daily routine
- Was afraid to check out the back of my head for almost two months, until I got another haircut. This time, to my relief, the bald spot was gone and all my hair was back in place
Meanwhile, I went out a few timesand was indeed self-conscious about the bald spot, drove me crazy. Thank god all is back to normal now
If you actually google "creatine + baldness" you do get related articles and discussion. Even examine.com has an article on it : http://examine.com/faq/does-creatine-cause-baldness/. Although there doesn't seem a "set in stone" relation, creatine may accelerate things

Yes creatine can cause balding, but no you didn't lose hair and "regained" them a few months later after dropping creatine. It was probably shedding and hair cycle.
This.
If a bit of creatine actually did cause such a quick lose, you're going to be bald soon anyways.
This as well.
Took Finasteride for almost 2 years. Can confirm that it is castration indeed.how can she neg... HOW CAN SHE NEG!!! HOW?!

Damn, I have a thick head of hair, and I've taken creatine for a few months now with no signs of balding, but this makes me nervous. Fuk the extra gains. I would look ridiculous bald (srs).

Ever since I started lifting routinely, I started losing my hair. I took creatine at the same time as well. Same situation; got a haircut and saw my hair looking thin at the corners and on the crown. Stopped taking creatine for about a year (still lifted) and hair loss continued. I just started creatine again because I'm gonna shave my head after I get a decent tan in Cancun over the summer. But creatine raises test levels which is gonna lead to hair loss from the dht.
"They'll tell you failure is not an option. That is ridiculous. Failure is always an option. Failure is the most readily available option at all times, but it's a choice. You can choose to fail or you can choose to succeed. But failure is always there, and it's okay to recognize that."- Chael P. Sonnen

I've been lifting for 7-8 years on and off now and this was the first time I noticed balding and it was the first time I took creatine regularly for a month
That being said, I wouldn't go on and believe that it affects everyone. Just like allergies, some can go through their whole life without any allergic reaction and another person will end up in the hospital after eating a peanutDead - 545lbs
