Do you make large($20k+) purchases on a whim or do you sit and think about it?

Never on **** thats worthless. If i spend $20K-200k on bike/boat/car i am certain that it will hold its value and i am getting a good deal. I havent met anyone who is 1% and just wastes money like its nothing.

vacations are the best, worth every $$$. I am not at a private plane level yet, you need ceo 30k/day for that i think that would be ultimate freedom to just gas up and go.

I just flew first class for the first time and felt like nobility watching the plebians pass by. I've only done Business class a couple times.

its not that hard to "make it" its just that 99.9% of people are not willing to work for it. Reality is there will be a few years of 70hr/work week with 0 social life. Most people cant picture themselves doing that. When you "make it" people only see the cool aftermath, they were not there when you were counting every dollar and grinding 12 hours a day like a **** in your ****ty $600/month studio.

Why do many in the tech industry struggle so much with monetization?

It seems like an afterthought to many programs/apps? Maybe because it is? or is it because the company has gained enough steam that it's just too capital intensive after a certain point and it's eating up all revenue?

1 has been sold for 6 figures (which is not great) but at the time was ok. Sales background.

Still own 2 strong companies that generate 7 figures each. All private funding, mostly mine. Involved in 3 startups right, 2 are moneypits so far. /feelsbadmang

You said you grew up poor and like me you were a teen around the dot com bubble, how did your first venture get enough traction to lead to where you are now? I started companies around 18 but had no idea what I was doing & they weren't scalable at all. To be in your position at 30 it seems that you must have been on the right track from early on in your career?

In my teens was versed in html, c++, Java, sql. Haven't done any code writing in forever I pay people to do that way more efficient
