This week..injury strikes!
Not sure what happened. I'd just bought a bench and squat rack the day before. I hadn't lifted weights, but the next day my lower back was sore as ****. I've added deadlifts to my routine but I've only been going very light and adding more weight each workout (still not lifting much). Same with squats.
It's a weird pain on one side. I can feel it if I tense my right glute. I've been stretching as much as I can the last couple of days. Hopefully it goes away soon, I've just started making good progress with my lifting and diet.

Haven’t posted in a while. Been doing lots of bodybuilding lately and only 2 days of WL. Changing things up. Cleaned up to 105-kg (231-lbs) and FS triples up to 120-kg (264-lbs).
This above all..

No fancy flexing just normal. I'm down 14 lbs because I got too heavy and needed to get my shi* back in check. I got 2 more weeks to cut but I don't need to be super lean for this type of shoot so I'll be fine. I just need to try on my gowns and pray they fit.
I just turned 50 and I think I've done alright.

Just finished the end of a mesocycle in a caloric surplus trying to make some gains. I'm at that point where I am getting uncomfortable with my body fat level and tempted to mini-cut, but this is the year where I trust in the process and stop spinning my wheels in perpetual diet mode. I looked back at my photos from last March where I was at a similar body fat level while dieting down through a re-comp. Can definitely see some progress here. Going to follow through with another mesocycle in caloric surplus, looking to push the weight up by another 5+ pounds between now and May, strip off the fat for summer, and see what's left.

no pics for me as I have been "out of the game" for a variety of reasons for almost 4 years. Unfortunately, I've taken a long fall backwards and am pretty much starting all over again. I'm back on the forum to be around like minded people and help my motivation. with any luck, I can get back to where I was.
nice to see several are still here

I had never clicked on this thread before. Looks like it might be a good place for this random shot. I caught the reflection in my wife’s vehicle as I was getting out of truck from my Saturday morning cardio session at the Y this morning.
Thighs have grown a full inch each during this 6 month gaining phase, but cut starts tomorrow!Bodybuilding is much more than an hour in the gym a few days a week---it's a lifestyle that changes all your perceptions about how to live, eat, and rest. It feeds the mind as much (and sometimes more so) than the body.

Good aesthetics! (on spread) How is the X-Frame factor when taking a shot like that shirtless? I struggle with leg width too and trying to get them proportional enough so that at lower bodyfat levels I can at least get some semblance of an X Frame when the waist is narrow.
It must be leg progress day, I was just logging on to put up a shot from this morning while getting dressed. Taken cold in morning light. I just finished a prolonged bulk cycle since around end of September, putting on about 11 pounds. Starting my cut now, but I am pleased at my legs filling out a little bit, especially the Rectus Femoris. I had been doing some weighted step ups (love/hate relationship with them) and I think they may have given that muscle a little bit of pop.
