I want to see the will it bend scale.

Barbell is dropped from 36" onto two solid 1" pin safeties 46" apart and then checked for straightness. More than .100" (maybe less?) deviation measured at the end of the sleeve with the bar on v-blocks 46" apart is considered failed.

Level 1 did not bend with 135 lbs on the bar

Level 2 did not bend with 225 lbs on the bar

Level 3 did not bend with 315 lbs on the bar

Level 4 did not bend with 405 lbs on the bar

I'm curious whether any barbell manufacturer will incorporate the newer steels that have been coming out, such as UHSS, AHSS, EHSS, complex phase, dual phase, boron, ferrite, martensite and/or TRIP steel.

Ductility an issue? Cost? Weight?

Rogue claims to have spent 2 million dollars on testing their current bars. How much would it cost them to try to improve items that most of us are nowhere near stressing to the point of failure anyhow? Add this the cost of facilities to treat metals to these specs and that cost would be even higher.

But yet many of us have 40 - 50 year old York barbells that are still being used , many with pretty heavy weights and are still straight and as usable as they were new. Just something to think about.

Lies, I need a barbell with the highest tensile, rockwell and other ratings possible to support by whopping 425 squat. Honestly, my first home gym bar was a hex end, 32MM bar that would probably still hold up with anything I can do with it.

It's getting almost comical now

haha i post at work whenever i need to get away from the piles of paperwork that no one helped cover when i was away for a month...

i forgot how sleepless some nights can be but thats a good problem to have

I don't understand the hate on them for deadlifting, it would be great to have to adjust the bar after it rolling.

How are the OSO CM-1 collars? Will they slip much on heavy deadlifts with imprecise hole plates? Do they work and clamp tight on specialty bars? Better than prolocs?

I have ivanko cot 1.25s but don't like how they add 2.5lbs sometimes, and even they will still shift on deads a bit.

How do they add 2.5# only sometimes?

I've got the original OSO, never had them slip on smooth or ribbed bars.

looks to me like they are trying to make in roads in facility outfitting and since lots of commercial gyms use these then having these as an option in their line may draw people to them. Makes a lot of sense if you do not want deadlifting in your facility just make it as hard as possible.

This is the issue. Ppl see these videos and think that bars will bend. That was not a man but GIANT ( Gentle and humble one). How many can go from 405 to what 700 ( did not bother to count the plates) for warm up? Shaw had 11 , 45's ( if i counted correctly) on each side in the last set for 3 reps not mention how much he had on the horns on the belt Squat. Wonder why he was using York SS one. Would like to see what happens if uses Rogue DL bar for the same lift.

Next Video he picks up 2 dumbbells each one @ 175lbs and change with 2 hands as if it was nothing.
