You generally won't pay more than $10 for a game after a year, most will fall to under $5 during the summer sales. Games like ARMA 3 and the COD games hold price because the devs want them to. Developers set steam prices, not Steam.

PC is just the most powerful and customizable system and people exaggerated it for the giggles.

there's like 2 good games on there, and they're expensive. not hard to find far cry 4 and unity for less than 45 for consoles right now, meanwhile 45 on steam.

most of the rest of those games are **** that nobody would ever play anyways, like the indy stuff that ps+ has every month.

the games actually worth a crap on PC are all expensive. PC gamers love to leave out the fact that you have to wait forever to get games on sale. you can do that on console too. AC unity will prolly be sub $30 on the next steam sale. meanwhile it's been sub 30 online for consoles like a week after it came out.

Yeah, all the good games are on the consoles, like 1886, Ryse, and Hardline running at a glorious 720p in 2015.

Ex PS3 owner until it died 2 months ago and sensible PC Master Race checking in. Ultimately PC is my preferred console of choice in terms of number of games and customization options, but I also recognize consoles have exclusives and games that I wish were available on my platform. Thankfully developers and publishers are more open to the idea of releasing games on Steam more than ever. Even a new 2016 NFL game is coming out exclusive for Xbox One and Windows 10 for the first time in forever. I just wish they would release a new Fight Night or UFC/MMA game for PC as well.

Yet most of these games aren't played...

The whole '' PC users get to pay 5$ for awesome games '' thing is cool, but it's mostly garbage. Sure you can end up buying bioshock 1 & 2 and other games like that for 5 bucks twice a year- but console users can go buy them for almost the same used at their local used games reseller all year long

To me, the PC rips consoles apart for long-term investment games ( mmorpg, competition driven multiplayer games like shooters, mobas, starcraft, etc. ). But each console gets great exclusives and most games feel much better on consoles because they were designed with them in mind.

And the argument of graphics being so much better on PC are pretty much null because they are only as good as your budget is ( although that is simply not an option on consoles at all ) and the difference isn't big enough for most people on a regular budget to care
