went to san francisco this past weekend. there's a small chain of scoop shops called 'over the moon' there. this is funfetti + peanut butter and jelly with a cookies n' cream cookie. v delicious. the funfetti was great, granted i'm a sucker for cake flavored stuff.

if any of you all come to SF and dont go to Bi-Rite Creamery...you all seriously need to get your head examined.

I Googled them just now out of curiosity and now the regret is strong. Yet another good looking spot I don't have access to.

If you like chocolate a lot I'd say yes. definitely top15.

B&J regular chocolate base is not the best, Powered by ice Cream has stated that the Dark Chocolate is a major upgrade. Psycho seems to be on the same boat after his 2nd try at it.

I agree. I dont care much for their regular chocolate either. If I recall correctly you're a fan of everything but the.. so I think you will enjoy this. Chocolate base is much better and mix-ins are plenty

Finally found Graeter's Buckeye Blitz after so long. I've always heard rave reviews about this flavor. Unfortunately I wont be able to eat it until after my vacation.
Also scooped up Graeter's Banana Foster and McConnell's Salted Caramel Chip. Anyone try these two flavors?

Debateable but id say probably outside top 10. The base is way better than other choc bases from BJ. All the NO flavors are legit. Mardi Gras pie is pretty unique but not my fav. But its marshmallow heavy which isnt my fav. That being said ive rescoiped it. Love Miss Debris

You are right! It is pretty much the same thing minus the chocolate slivers that are found in PB Cookie Dough Smash.. I am sure the Jurassic one is just as good, but I highly recommend the PB Cookie Dough Smash! It is easily right up there with S'mores and definitely in my top 3 Blizzards!

The peanut butter ripples were throughout the base, adding a nice peanut butter flavor that mixes perfectly with the base.. The peanut butter cups was not what I was expecting.. Relating to BJ, they were much smaller in size, but still tasty.. I would have loved a bit bigger pb cups but I’m just being picky.. Would deff buy this again, earning a solid A-

Talenti Salted Peanut Caramel Gelato: the caramel & peanut part of Snickers bar made into ice cream; plenty of peanuts, but would have preferred more caramel swirl.

Godd, but other reviews would have you think this is a top 5 flavor.

I disagree: Sea Salt Caramel, Southern Butter Pecan, Caramel Apple Pie, Double Dark Chocolate, Chocolate PB Cup, Fudge Brownie, Raspberry Cheesecake & Pumpkin Pie are all superior.

Marketing. Many people won't realize its the same and just see "new" (and jurassic park) so they rush out to try it. Just like relabeling rockin blondies essentially

Gave Gelato Fiasco Torched Marshmallow S'more another try. It failed me again. The base is said to be "cinnamon graham cracker", but in reality it's plain cinnamon and very strongly so; as in, take a spoon out, fill it up with cinnamon, and consume.

The chocolate shavings are nice. Marshamallow pieces are large although few in number. Long story short, every component of this pint is ruined by the dominant cinnamon flavor.

Publix Southern Banana Pudding




This is another one of Publix’s summer edition ice creams that I missed out on previous years. It was formerly known as banana ice cream with swirls of vanilla cream & bits of buttery cookies. This year it was released as french custard ice cream with swirls of banana sauce and bits of vanilla wafers. I don’t know how much has changed between the two, but I would bet my bottom dollar that not much at all changed besides the description. Not being a premium ice cream, the base melts relatively quickly after sitting out for just a few minutes. I get somewhat of a custard taste, but the banana is easily the main player in this case. What impressed the most was the fact that the banana flavor was very mild and did not contain any of that artificial taste we associate with banana flavoring so often. Most of the vanilla wafers were whole. I had a few that were broken in half or thirds, but each time I came across one it was of good size. It is a perfect mix-in for the banana base. Somehow, they remained quite moist and chewy despite being frozen within the ice cream. My only complaint with this offering is the lack of vanilla flavoring from the wafers that is drowned out by the banana sauce. However, I think Publix did a pretty good job of replicating a traditional banana pudding. B

Overall if you are a peanut butter fan this is a must try. While there is a large amount off mix-ins you are overwhelmed with a strong peanut butter base similar to a nutter butter cookie. The Vanilla soft serve does not even seem present by the amount of peanut butter cookies and peanut butter added into the blizzard. The Chocolate Chip Cookie Dough Balls provides a nice compliment and the chocolate chunks are in every single spoonful. While I still grade S'mores the best blizzard on the line this is not far behind.
