You got in the gym and did it - that's not sucking in my opinion
Just wondering, were your weights/reps leading up to the 145 last week the same as they were this week? Just wondering if something changed? I guess it could be many things like sleep/nutrition but it's hard to know....or could be just an 'off day'- Fallen Angel -

It's an art. There are a lot of artists in my family, but regrettably I am not one of them, so I can never get it right
Just catching up so not sure if it's already been said (my apologies if so), but I think that the missing reps / squiggly line frustration is worst when dealing with lower reps / heavy stuff. Being a little bit off one day can be like whoops, I couldn't get that weight at all, or whoops I did half the reps I did last week. If you were doing 12 rep sets, missing 2 reps out of 12 just isn't as maddening as missing 2 reps out of 5. I hate it... but I think it comes with the territory of doing heavy stuff, which I otherwise love doing.

I agree. The heavy stuff is what I love but it can be very frustrating at times. Missing 2 of 6....that's 1/3 of my set!
I went through a period with Wade doing sets of 10 to get over a hump. It was dreadful. I did it because I trust him but I didn't love itPOWERLIFTING TRAINING JOURNAL

Friday 11/18/16 - Front Squat & Deadlift
Front Squat
65x5x2
85x4
115x2
130x1
140x1 (current 1RM)
Trap Deadlift
145x3
195x1
235x1
255x1
275x1
Conventional Deadlift
135x1
185x1
225x1
245x1
265x1
275x1
Today went better than my last front, trap and conventional session. I let my chest fall a bit on the 130 front squat but it was nothing I couldn't recover from. The 275 trap was slow to leave the ground but once it did it came up quickly. That is probably my biggest trap pull in a while. Previously I think my 3RM was 285 so I'm working my way back up but at a lighter body weight.
I am super stoked about pulling 275 conventional. Last week I failed it three times. Maybe the 300's are not far off. I hope.POWERLIFTING TRAINING JOURNAL

Do you add the sweatshirt because of the belt?
Also why did you switch to longer baggier shorts?

Thanks
Yes. The belt needs to be tighter since I've lost weight. I was going to move it a while back but when I put it on it was tight enough. Only later did I realize it was because I was planning to tighten it at night and normal I lift early in the morning before I have eaten. Definitely makes a difference. Duh me.
Lol @ longer shorts. Lies.
Thanks. It didn't feel too shabby

Spotter fail again today. Spotter touched the bar on 135. He says he applied no pressure. Doesn't matter because I don't want anyone touching the bar. That 135 was mine for a second time. Pisses me off. On the second attempt I tried to be faster and ended up getting loose. Wade made this for me. My part starts about 1:30:
I've been wondering if I need to ask my spotter to bring the bar out more but keep forgetting to ask Wade. Will do that next week. Thanks, Wade!
Slingshot was complete sh!t today. The first set at 140 was too heavy and my triceps were fried. Spotters hands were all over the bar during both of those. Can't wait for my regular guy to return....
I rarely run out of time on bench days but I did today. Both spotters wanted to talk and I just wanted a lift off.POWERLIFTING TRAINING JOURNAL
