Autocorrect/Spell Check with Physical Keyboard
Let's wake this thread up with a question.
For those who got an android tablet and using a physical keyboard.
I have the Galaxy Tab S3 with a keyboard case and noticed that spellchecks, auto-correct and auto-spacing is not working when the tablet is docked on the keyboard.
Everything works when I'm using the virtual keyboard/on-screen.
Anyone have the same setup and have theirs working? Tried every combination in the settings and no luck.Steam - jinda28

happy new year droid bros!
On that tablet topic, we've got the same samsung tablet but locked to t-mobile network. We left them a year ago, meh bunch of trash...anyways back with ATT and I keep getting prompted to do the t-mobile update but can't for obvious reasons. Anyone know how to unlock it? Please send me a PM as I'm rarely on here anymore.
2nd topic: anyone have the pixel 2? I may get one or if the 3 is available by summer, my S7 edge is still going strong except the battery is crap.
thanks in advance!

Happy new year bro!
About the tablet, maybe check the forums in xda-developers.com and search for the TMO firmware update downloads. You need to search for your tablet's forum subsection.
Usually those topics are pinned and you can download the update manually and flash it. You just need to follow some steps if you haven't done it before.
Whats the exact model of your tablet? Maybe I can check it for you. Go to settings/about and it should be under Model Number. Should be something like SM-X###X.Steam - jinda28

I'll check XDA but I haven't done this before and don't wanna screw it up. My son uses it for his games. Things we do for our kids

Sorry for the late reply man. I'm usually offline during the weekend hehe.
Been a while since I went and look for firmware but usually searching XDA should send you to sammobile.com.
I found 2 updates on your tablet from:
https://www.sammobile.com/firmwares/tab-a-s/SM-T357T/
If you go to Settings/About and look for your tab's Baseband Version, if it's not the same as the digits under the PDA column of that link, it means you don't have those update yet.
You'll find the instructions on how to do it once you click the link.
You can usually find the date your device is updated in the About section and can compare it with the firmware release dates in the link.
Goodluck!Steam - jinda28

Trying to keep it alive brah for the android masterrace!
On another news:
I dont know why I haven't done this before.
For those with Samsung phones that wants to add their work exchange email account but doesnt want the encryption required by the company.
I added 2 exchange email in the email apps within the Secured Folder. It's like having 2 entirely separate phones in one. All the required encryption will be limited within the secured folder and outside it, my phone will work as normal.
I hate it when the exchange email requires me to alter my lock screen security based on their requirements. Secured Folder solved it for me.Steam - jinda28

Good find on that one. We still don't technically allow anything but company issued iPhones to connect to our email but also haven't done anything to block people. We did an audit not long ago and found a chit ton of Android phones connected to Exchange accounts lol I just really don't want MobileIron on my Note8.

This is how we see how closed Knox is lol. And I think it's really enclosed in a separate storage of the harddrive since the encryption requirement of my 2 exchange mails are not affecting anything outside of the secured partition.
It didn't even ask me for any permission unlike when I add them outside of Knox.
The only issue will be my work emails will be stored in the same space together with my porn files lol!Steam - jinda28

Thanks man, yeah it's the version from 8-21-16, the newer one is what I need. I'd love to root this thing, but again, don't wanna screw up anything or lose my sons progress on any games. Gotta register to download..ugh.
Agree with Pixel 2 XL - I definitely want one. My S7 Edge is still going strong tho., getting the PIxel once we drop ATT and join Verizon next spring.
Update: that site is retarded. I tried 3 diff browsers to download firmware...each and every time when I click download, it logs me out! I give up.Last edited by TheMatzah; 01-17-2018 at 05:41 PM.

Bro there are 2 options to download, the free version and paid one. Make sure you're clicking the free one. It will be a slower download though.
I tried downloading your FW here from the office just to see if it will cancel out but it was ok. But I did cancel it myself, its a 1GB download lol.
Also the 15kb/s download rate is normally not true. Its usually faster than that.
Also they will be on server maintenance from Jan 19-21 FYI.Steam - jinda28

Hmm I wonder why.
Maybe try this one but you have to choose the "slower download" which is free.

Pixel team is now in-house as Google closes $1.1 billion HTC deal
I guess Google is happy with HTC's Pixel 2 team. I wonder if they also offered the same to LG who did the XL 2.

Android bros..I'm thinking about going from my iPhone 6s + to an Android. Part of me wants to switch to something that offers more but then the other part of me finds it hard to part ways from an iPhone.
My iPhone 6s + pisses me off due to the battery life being ch!t now and I'm always having to charge it through out the day.
I'm also fed up with lack of memory upgrades and if I wanted to back my sh!t up I have to pay for some Apple Cloud service.
I'm looking for somethign with good battery life, memory upgrade and a great camera.
Any recommendations?My training log: https://forum.bodybuilding.com/showthread.php?t=178464441

The only Android phone I had was a Note 4. I loved that phone and what you could do with it. For some reason though the battery took a sh!t and kept dying on me when it was on 15%.
I went back to an iPhone after that and have been scared to make the jump to an Android from all the things I've heard.
That Note 8 looks amazing though. My training log: https://forum.bodybuilding.com/showthread.php?t=178464441

Something with good battery life is hard to find these days, due to the bigger screens mostly. My phone gets a full 24 hours easy, but I've got to keep the brightness in check or the battery drains stupid quick.
For something that checks most of your boxes, get the Note 8 and a spare charging cable that you can keep at work. Or you can get your battery replaced by Apple and wait for the next gen of Androids to choose from.▇ ▅ █ ▅ ▇ ▂ ▃ ▁ ▁ ▅ ▃ ▅ ▅ ▅ ▇
