far enough...Something like this has happened before, but in Germany. The Reichstag was Germany's parliament and it was burnt down by the nazis as a false flag attack, which was blamed on the communists (Russia). German people hate for the communists grew massively at this point and also gave Hitler more power as the communists were eliminated. Basically, long story short, the Reichstag represented the democratic Germany, which the Nazis saw as weak. So that marks the beginning of Hitler's dictatorial rule of national socialist Germany. Which enabled him to use the "Enabling act" which is similiar to the "Patriot Act".

It's a classic move of dishonest politicians to declare a general threat to public safety so that they can introduce emergency laws to take away some personal liberties from the mass of the people.

Larry Silverstein had WTC 7 pulled because it had been damaged extensively by internal fires caused by the aerial impacts that it had to be demolished, despite having been built to serve as a nuclear fallout shelter for high ranking government officials. Initially, Larry attempted to claim that WTC 7 fell on its own as a result of the impacts. WTC 6, located between WTC 1 and 2, was still standing after 1 and 2 collapsed. Larry was able to order WTC 7 to be demolished so swiftly despite the fact that it takes weeks or months to pre-wire for demolitions with explosives most likely because he was part of a grand plot to destroy WTC 1 and 2, and in the process, destroy many NSA files on international terrorism, which were located in WTC 7. Pretty much every sheet admitting that US gave money to Osama Bin Ladin, among other terrorists, was located in WTC 7. Popular conjecture is that some of those files stated things that US government did not want to leak.
