I've decided that I prefer bio-gro in my food so I put it in my steak with brown sauce for lunch. I then put it in my homemade mac n cheese for dinner.
My workouts are still going really well with my current stack of isa-test and bio-gro. I'm cutting down in the mirror and not on the scale so that is a plus. Also, most of my lifts have been PRs this week, stayed the same with deadlifts.Gain/CUT: CUT

Squat: 380x8

Been a hectic weekend but full of good stuff. Dad had a birthday so we piled in the truck and drove an hour or so to my uncle's house to watch the race.
My keys disappeared earlier this week so I had been using my spare set... Bad idea.
Apparently my SPARE set of keys dropped out of my pocket and into my uncle's couch. We drove home, and now my SPARE Set of keys is 60 miles away. So that sucks. He is coming down on Wednesday so until then I am stuck driving the old family jeep. Wahoo, 8 miles to the gallon! Bummer, but no big deal.
On a better note, got my Biogro in Friday! Love the fancy new label. Looks sweet. Haven't opened it yet but I hear rumor of a legendary new scoop...
The combine is officially done with. Awards presented tomorrow. About 125 athletes competed. Scored 13th overall. Not too bad, in the fittest top 10% of high school athletes. Gonna outwork them all again next year and see how high I can climb.
1 week break until summer lifting begins. Taking a trip to Florida... Cut as I have ever been due to the magic of the Biogro+restoraid+clean diet+cardio stack. Using this week as a Deload off of all supplements but a multi and Biogro, you know, like a caffeine/creatine/beta-alanine cycle. My liver will thank me.
I have 1 full tub left (with the new scoop!) and the next combine is at the end of July. Gonna start on a 2scoop/day routine to see what biogro does over a long period of time.

I forgot to add, I Finished the first beta-test tub
So far so good!
Retaining muscle, getting shredded. been getting comments on my "6 pack" that I def didn't have 3 weeks ago.
I look more solid than ever, and I'm my harshest critic. ca't wait to get measurements done in the next week or two.
I started on tub #2 today and I just want to keep logging and updating until I finish that one. I'll post final reviews after that.
But like I said, so far this is awesome. loving it!Lift hard. Sleep later. No excuses!

Forgot to add... Computer is down with a virus (how?) so I have to find a creative way to post pictures. Hmm...
And confirmed that the pain in my shins was not doms but overuse injuries. Great. Doc says I 'irritated' an over stressed muscle (anterior tibialis) and strained it. I have a pretty good limp but I ignored it for a few days because I was thinking that it was doms. Doc says ice it and don't use it... Will be icing it. Lol

Anyone else have trouble with posts not showing up ? Im going to assume it's my phone, but wanted to make sure..
Anyways as everyone has mentioned, this is a crazy week.. love the long weekend, but the week that follows is always too hectic. .
Any how. . Monday am got a 3 mile run in and hit legs later that night.
Did some narrow stance squats, that were ok.. just felt like I was going to tip over at the bottom. .lol worked up to 275 for 12 and it actually felt light. Since I've started low bar squating a few weeks back I feel stronger or at least more stable.. so im hopeing that once i get used to it.. I can get over my 405 hurdle.
Workout was great, legs are feeling it is am.. lucky it was a shorter run today only 2 miles
Last night had a great back /trap session.. rack deads 395 x 4 for my last set followed by 135 to failure with no rest..135 never felt so heavy..lol
Bio Gro still kicking.. hardly any soreness, recovery had been great. Im just using 2 scoops post workout now with glycofuse, so I'll let you know if I feel any difference.
Have a good I day..

SO! Today's post is going to be a bit out of the ordinary. I didn't have time to post about yesterdays workout because It was a late one, I needed to get some studying done and also had to get up early.. BUT! I'm here now .
First I'd like to talk to all of you about yesterday's Chest/Back Pre-exhaustion adventure! You would think that pumps would be minimal.. Burn would be at its max.. and the fatigue would kick in lightening fast.. WRONG! Starting out the workout with flat bench cable flies supersetted with straight arm lat pulldowns was great! I got an early pump in my lats, and yes.. My chest WAS burning from the flies.. But it soon turned into a full on pump! 12-15 reps with a RP on the last set followed by a drop set will make you burn a lot.. But also does give a very good muscle pump!
To be honest.. Pre-Exhausting my lats allowed me to have the best back workout that I can ever remember.. I felt my lats working the WHOLE workout rather than on the last exercise. My chest felt exceptionally good too, the first 2 exercises would be flies, flat bench cable flies and incline bench cable flies. The first two back exercises were straight arm lat pulldowns and 1 arm DB rows! These set the tone for the rest of the workout.
Believe it or not, I felt practically as strong on the first pressing exercise as I always do, I was doing Wide decline hammer strength presses.. These helped pump my chest up a bit! I supersetted these with some Iso-Leverage Hammer strength Rows.. PUMPED my lats up A LOT! If there is one body part I'll keep using a pre-exhaust technique with.. It will definitely be back!
My last exercises were a little weaker than normal, I was only able to throw up the 60's for flat bench and fall into the 12-15 rep range.. But My chest was working a lot, it was shaking vigorously at peak contractions and I really finished it off when I did these! Lat pulldowns.. Opposed to using around 170 lbs.. I was using 135-140! My lats were DEAD after this workout.
--------------------------------------------------------
Today's SHOULDER AND TRAPS WORKOUT!
I started it off today with standing Military Presses. I haven't done these in a very long time, honesty they felt good, I was using light weight because my front delts were substantially fatigued from yesterdays chest workout, And It's just been a while!
Did 4 sets of these and my shoulders were feeling primed and ready to power through the rest of the workout. Moved onto some Iso-Leverage Presses, followed by rear delt work!
Hi-Cable Reverse Fly- I just grabbed onto the plastic ball that's permanently onto the bare cable for these and squeezed the hell out of them. This is the first time I really felt my rear delts working with these, I was slow, controlled and really squeezed at the peak of the rep. I super-setted these with some reverse machine flies! This combo was great, really filled up my rear delts during this workout.
Front delt work.. To be or not to be..
I'm considering taking direct front delt exercises out of the mix. They get hit a lot on chest days with incline movements and just presses in general.. They get hammered with dips, and then they get hit real hard with presses on shoulder days. Not sure if front raises are really necessary at this point!
---------------------------------------------------------------------
Got some BIO-GRO in the MAIL TODAYTHAN A HIGH REP ARM DAY TOMORROW!
I used a serving in my post-work out shake today!
Here are the workouts guys! Bear with me.. This is a long post!

One week in: I have noticed that DOMS haven't been as much as an issue except on squats day. I still walked around like a zombie for the next 2 days.
Today I mixed my bio-gro into my breakfast milkshake: eat-smart, pb2, milk, ice, bio-gro. I then added 1 scoop into each of my 2 turkey sandwiches that I had for my pre workout lunch.
Here was my workout for today, which went really well and felt pretty strong and confident in my lifts.
Cardio today was hills at 6.0 pace. Did a total of 1.5 miles again today at the end of the workout.
Bench: warmup at 135, 155x5, 190x5, 205X9
bench: 5x140x10 1 minute rest.... so hard towards the end!
tricep ext: 3x10 60/65/65
tricep pushdown: 3x10x72.5
db curls: 3x10x40 slow to feel the burn
ab machine: 3x10x115Gain/CUT: CUT

No, I haven't had an issue with post showing up. Perhaps it was just a fluke. .... You mentioned recovery being great, are you noticing any other benefits? Also, I apologize if I missed it, what are your training goals?
Why the light headedness? Do you experience that regularly? ... I enjoy sipping on Restoaid intra workout too. It's so refreshing. Water is so boring!! You'll have to try it as a slushy. Mix it in a blender with water and ice - SUPER refreshing! Are you training for anything in particular?Last edited by TiffGarrett; 05-29-2013 at 01:32 PM.

Day 17 Bio-Gro
5/29/2013
Shoulders/Traps/Abs
Shoulders
Seated DB press: 50x20 60x12 (2 sets) 70x10 (2 sets) 80x8 (2 sets)
BB front raise: 45x12 55x12 65x10 75x10
Reverse machine fly: 3 sets of 12
Rear delt DB fly: 20x20 30x16 40x12
Lateral raise: 30x12 (3 sets) ---> 20x20-drop set
Traps
DB shrug: 80x12 100x12 120x12 140x12 (2 sets) ---> 70x20 drop set
Abs
Cable crunch (heavy/stack): 3 sets of 12
ss w/
Hanging leg raise: 3 sets of 12
Workout thoughts:
First time directly hitting shoulders in about 3 weeks, and everything went much better than expected. I felt a bit of a grind right out the gate with my shoulders which is the reason I kept my DB presses on the light side. As I went on the ache/grind seemed to go away and was able to really get a great contraction on my flies, raises, and shrugs. My gym's DB's go up to 285 I believe, so I will be using DB's for the majority of my shrug work. Focus was high and all in all it is nice to see the shoulder strength is still there, even after some heavy presses the previous day.
Bio-Gro thoughts: 3 weeks off shoulders and I felt as strong as ever with them. I think this speaks volumes for the ability of bio-gro to preserve muscle and strength. I have taken time off certain muscle groups in the past to focus on other ones, and typically when I go back I have to rebuild up my strength. I have pressed 100x5 before and probably could have done this today with a more traditional pyramid rep scheme.
Sticking with my "video of the day" theme, here is a great video from Dr. Layne Norton. It is worth the watch for anybody that plans on competing, has competed in the past, or just enjoys good information on diet/nutrition.
