Hey all...new here...my first post.
About to graduate university in December. I've done varsity cross country and track and field thru my entire university career. I'm tired of running and want to try something new as I get out into the adult world. In addition, it sucks to workout so much and have no useful aesthetic benefit within gay culture. I'm 6 feet and 135 pounds. The good thing is I'm used to one hour to 90 minute workouts seven days a week, so I have the discipline. However, I have a lot to learn about weight lifting and nutrition. Will see how this goes.

Well, after spending much of September out of town and on vacation, I am now getting back on track with regular visits to the gym and doing more than token cardio. I have done decent on my diet and have actually had to go out and get slimmer clothes.
I'm assuming the quietness here is because others are on vacation or life is going well???I am the only person responsible for making myself fat. I am the only person responsible for making myself un-fat.

Greg and I are going to an auto auction tomorrow. He's interviewing for an HR position with the host company, and if he gets the job, he gets to travel to places like Vegas, Lauderdale, New York, and so on to host such events. I expect to go with him on at least one of these.
And come next Monday (the 12th), it will be my one-year anniversary at the new church. Can't believe the time passed so quickly. Things are good these days. The thing I like least about the treadmill is that I can't run from my farts. -- Source unknown

Been a bit crazy at work....we had layoffs...I escaped yet again, but not sure how much longer I can hang on given my almost 31 years there....pretty shocking, and I lost a lot of friends across the country....was up for 38 hours straight after they were announced....
At this point, I'm OK with it when it does happen....the packages were pretty good for the people that left....maybe time to do something else...
Rodney left a couple of days ago for P-town...He'll be up there for two weeks before I can get up there....miss him desperately.....
Looking forward to being back in autumn weather! Getting back to more regular workouts...my gym is being renovated at the moment, so looking forward to working out on all new equipment.....Chicago White Sox. 2005 World Series Champs!!

I just had an email from a local gay boy. Rather, he hit me up on a hookup site I stay on to keep in touch with friends.
Remember that gay bar that banned me a couple years back for my alleged "letters on the internet"? Turns out they have a kink night, and it's been going on for a year or so now. I just find it laughablol that they try to be like the city gay bars and appeal to more when they appeal to so few with their unacceptable standards.
And yet... part of me is curious. I don't need to go - I have a boyfriend now, and I'm a porn star as well. I don't need to take three steps back by going to that ****hole again. But I will say they've got my attention with this "kink night". I could wear my harness or go all in rubber with a mask, and maybe none would recognize me. But there's no profit in that.
Don't mind my rambling, I'm just getting this off the third page. The thing I like least about the treadmill is that I can't run from my farts. -- Source unknown

Had an amazing time in New England, enjoying the colors, and the cold temps! Bounced between Provincetown, and Boston, and even headed up to Quechee, VT for lunch....finding out after we left that we just missed Trvlr (a member of this thread from WAY back when) by two days.....Spent great times with my sister's family and enjoyed Halloween in P-town...! Kind of crazy even with all the colder temps.....
Prior to the trip, my hubby had been up there for 2.5 weeks...the longest weeks in my life! Very cute, because he was so happy to see me a the airport when I landed, that he was wiping away tears and having trouble talking....Pretty great after 23 years together......
He finally returns home tomorrow night.....Can't wait.....!Chicago White Sox. 2005 World Series Champs!!

Today I get to give Greg his birthday present. I thought of this last August while I worked at the resort, and now it finally happens. Yay! I rented a room at the resort, and I'm gonna romance him a bit. Since it's his birthday, I'm baking his favourite cake too - yellow with chocolate icing. Because I was an employee, I get a small discount but the room is still very expensive for one night. And - this is the part he'll probably like best - the bed will be large enough for the both of us. That's a problem we have at his place - I have to sleep on the couch because his bed is for one person. We tried sharing but I move too much during the night.
Anyway, I also got a Hot Wheels of his dream car, the 67 Chevy Corvette in red with black interior. He collects these things, and I'm pretty sure he doesn't have this one. I didn't see it among his collection, so yay! I might bring back pictures.
And I'm decorating for Christmas again. I have a client on Sunday.
Opera company is doing okay. We just had a death in the group. The lady who made our programmes for free these past five years died of stage four cancer last weekend. It's a downer, and I can't even go to the service tomorrow because of my earlier plans with Greg, but we're sending a wreath. She deserves an acknowledgement of her service. The silver lining is that she's out of pain and in a better place. The thing I like least about the treadmill is that I can't run from my farts. -- Source unknown

That's not indicative of all of us. If you don't like leather or rubber, you don't have to wear them. It's just fetish and fantasy and play, and does not encompass ALL of gay culture.

Wow, ten days without a new post.
I think this thread has run its course. Pity, we used to have so many invigorating discussions here, and just guys shooting the sh*t. Guess we've moved on. I think of all the time I used to waste on the misc and in here, and it feels like so long ago.The thing I like least about the treadmill is that I can't run from my farts. -- Source unknown

On Saturday, Greg and I will celebrate our first anniversary as a couple. I have been so lucky to have him in my life, and I didn't think we'd actually get as far as we did. So yay!
And I finally went to the dentist yesterday. First time since 1999. Got my teeth cleaned. For not going these past sixteen years, my teeth are actually quite good. Do need a couple fillings. LOL. My mouth feels strange this morning. But at least I finally went. There's a story behind it, and someday I might share it, but I don't feel like it right now.
I'm also decorating trees again this Christmas. Got a client on Sunday after church. The thing I like least about the treadmill is that I can't run from my farts. -- Source unknown

Hey Gays!
New to the site and found this handy little thread. How is everyone? I've been back into the gym for a couple of months now full time (3-5 days per week, averaging 4) and am starting to see results, but more so in muscle department and not so much in the jiggly bits.
Care to chime in on how long it took for your body to balance out? I'm doing some warm up cardio, a weight training session (diff parts per day), then rounding out with 15-20 mins of run/uphill walking or the dreaded stair climber. Like I said, the muscles are starting to do what I want, just can't wait for the rest. And I know diet plays a huge role...so to that, I said F the holidays! :P
Is anyone on this thread from the north bay in CA?
Congrats on your 1 year anniversary, Mr. bhujerban!

So...how did today go on ur anniversary?
And the dentist thing...I went back in August, before that was 10 years (was scared to go because I have a tongue ring) but all was super good. One filling for me (i have an addiction to sour patch kids 🙊
Hope all is well and glad to have found this thread. Hopefully it keeps going and new members to the thread, like myself, make it here. It's good to have a spot. I stopped doing forums because I didn't want to get judged.

Thanks for asking. We had a good day. I cooked a nice steak dinner for the two of us, and later we went out for pie. We played a round of "Sorry!" - you know, the board game - and then exchanged anniversary gifts. He gave me a really nice watch. I made a compilation video of our year together. He almost cried when he saw it, and said "That was really sweet of you. I have an amazing boyfriend."

Holiday week: great for the gym because it's nice and empty. However, at the office it's also nice and empty -- except for those of us who are single and don't have children. Sure, I'll be happy to work and do four other people's job for them. (Sorry, need more coffee.)
FTR: I've been avoiding the board here because I got a bit off track on the diet/exercise thing, but I'm back on track.I am the only person responsible for making myself fat. I am the only person responsible for making myself un-fat.

I'm going to my sister's place for Christmas. She just had an operation to remove her endometriosis (her ladyparts had a large cyst). Since she's on bedrest for the next six weeks, we are going there so she doesn't have to travel. Immediately after that, I am going north to be with Greg and we'll have our own little Christmas celebration.
I've also got church on Thursday night for a candlelight service. They traditionally sing "O Holy Night", but since 60% of the choir chose to make other plans for the night, we are breaking from tradition for the first time in over twenty years. I'm not too happy about it, and neither are those who are staying for the service. Sometimes I hate my job, and this is one of them. The thing I like least about the treadmill is that I can't run from my farts. -- Source unknown
