LOL...
Fitty hasn't been a mod in over a year!
I'm pretty much the only mod holding up this forum right now. I don't want to straight out say that this forum exists because I vouch for it and step up to it... But it's safe to say that I'm the most active one here.
This is the time of year when I'm on the road a lot for business.
(You know, that whole entrepreneur on the front lines of the recession trying to make a better America for you and your children thing that I do.)
When a spammer attack happens and I'm out of town... Instead of posting critiques, or joke posts about the spammers and whine, and come up with unique ways to make my job harder, when I finally do get back into town.
Instead of that ^^^^
PM PLANETGETLOW or 97LT1... They've got my back the most around here.
Thanks!6'4"

If you click the report button, does it show if the post has already been reported?

all you need to know is that when you report it, the moderators for that section will get the report.

I've just spent three tries making the damn quote box cooperate so I can see what I am doing.
Nainoa - you know as well as I do that I am not in the habit of being ugly to people who do not deserve it (except by accident here and there). That means I am not being ugly to you. I was pointing out that the place was gross a bit. Thank you for cleaning it up.
I suggest making a sticky labeled "who you gonna call". You know as well as I do that making a report simply goes in the box in order and all the rest of the forum takes precedence - even when you are here. The damn misc alone generates a couple hundred reports a night.
The forums are a huge draw but not something that the new owners want to spend too much paid time (THE MODS HERE HAVE NEVER BEEN, AND WILL MOST LIKELY NEVER BE,....................PAID) on. I feel that you are a an unsung hero. However...you took the job and it demands a certain amount of, shall we say, tact (maybe not tact so much as familiarity)?
The fact that a ton of the threads do not interest you is really of no concern - you are morally obligated to read them so you have an idea of the content and a strong feeling for the participants. The participants do matter - the content does not.
And suggest to one of the intel squirrels that they fix the filth and foul quote boxes so they stay where we can read what we are typing - for gia's damned sake I am already inebriated - making the stupid box jump back to the beginning makes me insane.
Again - thanks for getting the issue fixed.
To everyone else - to mod a section correctly we have to be here a ton of time - that is a huge expenditure. Sometimes it can be overwhelming.

No.
You would
Geno would leave the streets deserted is more like it.
First statement that made any sense at all concerning me and mod in the same sentence.
To anyone calling for me to mod anything...
Being a mod in any large forum reqiures a level of CONSISTANT time spent on that forum. I get a "welcome back" almost every time I post so that automatically rules me out. I have three jobs and a full time load of college courses. That means...I have exactly enough time to sleep and do what is expected of me. Sometimes I have to give up sleep to meet those expectations.
On a very rare basis - I get to come to my chosen home away from everything and make a post or two.
I only complain after a couple days passing and a zillion threads of spam still mucking up my favorite place and/or the only remaining (and overworked) mod not realizing who is legit here (Nainoa - I mean no sleep dude 23, I could care less about Mr. new dude that was stupid enough to make a joke about a very bad situation - I would still have that young man on vacation) and who is not.Last edited by Geno; 10-15-2011 at 09:29 PM.

Is there any way someone could only be a mod on one sub forum? Like only an OR mod but just a regular poster elsewhere?
There are plenty of respectable posters here that are on very regularly."I believe that life isn't worth living if not lived passionately." - Nainoa
