Dusty just texted me this picture. He is looking really lean for 19 weeks out! He told me he is actually working on adding a few more lbs in the next 3-4 weeks, and then beginning his actual/intense cut right after that.


Pro status after nationals? I believe so...

Dusty actually grows into his shows from what I've seen over the past few years. He takes a good amount of time off after a show, loses some muscle, then really grows during his actual cut...he's not human.

He told me he is weighing about 275 here, and plans to step on stage in the 260's

Thanks, obviously I am a bit flat from this weekends travel schedule but I should continue to grow into the show. Vaughn was off cause I am 281 in the pic and should be low 270's on stage with last years conditioning beat.

Absolutely not. After winning his weight class in Jr Nationals, and taking 5th at USA's Dusty is perfectly positioned to take his pro card...finally!


I see Dusty about 2x/year, and despite being good friends with him, I've got to say I am seriously impressed with his progression. After he won the border states he was a big dude, but nowhere near on the top level. When he did Jr Nationals, everyone saw the insane progress he made, and it became very apparent that he will soon do very big things in this industry.

Considering the guys he beat at USA's, he will have to come in VERY off(something Dusty never does) to not clean up in November.

You know how it is, I only like to show my weakest poses and due to my lagging hamstrings this is the pose that shows me at my weakest. Anyone can toss up pics of them in perfect lighting in their best pose but I always say if you look good pasty white and in a weak pose you will be lights out when conditioned and tanned in your best shots.

If Steve does what he needs to do he will be sitting in the audience at the Nationals as the USA Overall champ and IFBB pro...which I think will happen.
