Good job, P! Yes, I go to bed at 2 or 3 your time....so sometimes I think it's weird that I'm going to bed and I know you're getting up!
I think I'm going to Costco this weekend!
P, do you have a certain goal weight for your bulk? You're just going to blow your current giant PRs out of the water! Looking forward to riding along!Caring about what people think of you is useless. Most people don't even know what they think of themselves.

Crunchy salty vegetable air.
Potato is totally a veggie but I like to think of it as "other".
Is that some of that foreign stuff
You can call and wake me up!
I think I'm going to Costco this weekend!
P, do you have a certain goal weight for your bulk? You're just going to blow your current giant PRs out of the water! Looking forward to riding along!
Staring weight 128-129.
Ending weight 140-141
I've never weighed that on my own.
Only pregnant or PP.
Oh well.
I'm ready!!
I might even start this week
ETA--I might go a little longer if I'm feeling good about the flubz.
Wait--how long do y'all "think" it would take to get that weight off?
Pool opens Memorial Day weekend, ya know
That would give me, like, 15 weeks to take it off.Last edited by pharty; 08-29-2012 at 05:15 AM.

Freaking great workout!
I wasn't sure what weight to go with the 5x5 for DLs so just guessed at 185 thinking it might even be too heavy for all those sets but it so WASN'T!
Light chest day...will do 5x5 for flat bench Saturday. Sets still felt awesome...but tough.
Little interval work before...not trying to be too tired for the deads but still allows me to run.
I had at least 2k cals yesterday. 3 vodkas (hey moderation...it was all that was left lol), some Snyder's hot pretzels and half a thin/not king-sized Hershey bar after dinner.
I was cranky. Come at me.
Couple of other things I might elaborate on later
~The hot pink Inzer belt ain't workin'. Well it is but it ain't. Not as I go heavier. My hip bones are too high so it's not helping low back. Tried the "cheaper" Valeo today and while it wasn't tight enough I still could feel it protecting my low back more. Thoughts?
~I switched to the Biochem/hormone free whey months ago and now almost all meat that comes into the house is hormone free and organic (I used to eat Costco turkey and chicken that wasn't organic). I've noticed my PMS crankies have gone WAYYYYYYYY down and my cycles are stretching out (used to be 24-26 days now closer to 28-30). Interdasting.
~I am ready to bulk, people! Watch out.

I liked the Schiek Womens lifting belt. It's Model 2000. Here's the link.
http://shopnow.secureonlinecart.com/...82551ea1bf1b33
I was concerned that:
1. It would be way to sissy for my lifting needs, and
2. The velcro would totally suck. I thought the prong clips would be much better.
Turns out that this belt is FAN-FREEKIN-TASTIC! It'll fit nicely over your hip bones and not do that shimmy up thing where suddenly you end up wearing it like a bra. The velcro is a one-way style velcro that holds up very well. Plus with the velcro it's infinitely adjustable so you can get it juuuust as tight as you need it, whereas the belts with the prongs - you're at the mercy of where the holes are unless you have a drill and drill new holes where you want them.
I have had mine for a year now, I use it all the time and it has not worn out.
Also this belt is made for girls who really lift so you should not feel that just because it's the womens model that it can only hold up to the pink dumbells and a 45# bare Oly bar. I'm closing on 315 and it holds up just fine.
It works well, highly recommended.
I am convinced that those INZER belts will only work for females who have a rectangular box frame. Girls with hips will have issues.-KimP

+1. I am on the organic train as well and have noticed a 100% difference in the way I feel. I buy most of my food from the farmers market where I can go see the cows the day before they come to me all cut and wrapped up and ready for the grill.
I hate stickers on my fruit and I hate freekin' hormones and preservatives and sugar in my food! Damn the man!-KimP

Man...can I see the colors somewhere?
I mean I need to be sure the purple would match my shoes and DL socks. Sheesh.
Thanks for the rec, Kim! I couldn't remember which one you had after the Inzer.
So sad my pretty belt doesn't work well for meMy Journal

Great workout, P!
I do organic too, have since before I had my first kiddo. I do all organic meat/dairy/eggs (hormones in that, too) and mostly organic fruit and veg (see the 'dirty dozen' list.) I love the Biochem also. And, of course, don't like things with dye. LOL. Why do they have to add it??!Grr! Great that you actually SEE a difference in your symptoms!
Such impressive DL's!! Someday i'll catch up."You pass on more to your children and your grandchildren than your eye color, your hair color, your crooked smile. Thanks H!
I really hate much more expensive it is to eat "naturally". If it's available I'll do organic. If the bananas are conventional once a month I don't really care too much. My darn egg whites aren't organic. Those are way expensive. So I might have to either change things up in terms of my protein...
My kids were THRILLED when I came home with some "cocoa puffs"...lol. I tasted them...not great without milk haha.
I got some eggs from the farmer's market (not certified organic since apparently that costs a million dollars) and there was a feather on one of them

^^^this is my belt exactly! I love my purple Schiek belt. I got mine last xmas and use it twice a week for DL and Squat.
I buy organic milk, eggs and 90% produce, but I just can't afford that organic meat all the time. Where do you generally buy your meat? I want to raise my own, lol. We actually do plan to at some point. I grew up on a farm.~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~

Nice weight on DL for the 5x5 session Phartz.
I have that Valeo poverty belt, haven't gotten around to picking out an Inzer yet. Are you wearing your belt correctly? Go up a bit on your lower back, not down by your ass, but latch it in the front really low.

Here's a quick little rundown. I could write a book on the benefits of eating organic and hormone free. I'm having a wild and crazy day in OB/GYN land today ~ so I'll save the book for another day!
The following "Dirty Dozen Plus" had the highest pesticide load, making them the most important to buy organic versions - or to grow them organically yourself:
•Apples
•Celery
•Sweet bell peppers
•Peaches
•Strawberries
•Spinach
•Nectarines (imported)
•Grapes
•Spinach
•Lettuce
•Cucumbers
•Blueberries (domestic)
•Potatoes
Plus these which may contain organophosphate insecticides, which EWG characterizes as "highly toxic" and of special concern:
•Green beans
•Kale/collard greens
Why should you care about pesticides? The EWG points out that there is a growing consensus in the scientific community that small doses of pesticides and other chemicals can have adverse effects on health, especially during vulnerable periods such as fetal development and childhood.
When pesticide residue is measured, often 25 or more different pesticides are found on one piece of fruit.
Bye for now <3Caring about what people think of you is useless. Most people don't even know what they think of themselves.

I started really really looking into when I had my daughter. I was convinced that these girls are starting their period and getting boobs so early from all the hormones in food. Then it kind of snowballed from there.
It just seems *right* to me. Why do I want all that extra stuffs in my foodz?
Organic chicken is WAY better.
Wild fish is WAY better.

Hmmm, well I really don't eat much of that stuff on the list, except potatos, I eat a MASSIVE amount of potatos. Checked my 10lb bag, it is NOT organic, omg what should I do?! Also I'm pretty sure I get my fair share of toxic chemicals from dealing with a lot of automotive fluids, paint, etc for work related things. I am soooo screwed aren't I?
