OK, some discussions in the open forums and in PMs have resulted in this thread.
The Deadlift thread has been a lot of fun and inspired some great lifting and improvement, so we're going to do the same with squats.
Post your intention to join the comp, and post your entries with a clear video of a squat to parallel or lower. The camera should be at waist level and either 8 oclock or 4 oclock behind the squatter.
Knee wraps and belts are ALLOWED.
Weight classes are as follows:
1st group up to 175 #
2nd group 176 - 210
3rd group 211- 240
4th group 241 and over
Comp goes to midnight on June 30th.

I'm in. I'm contemplating doing another round of Smolov, so this could be worthy. I just hope Flex puts on some weight and Oceanside drops some weight
Just kidding. This is a race to 5 plates for Flex and me anyway.
Oceanside, what is your PR for squats? I remember you doing some serious weight for reps....

I'm in. I don't expect great things, but if I have improvements from being in this comp like I did in the DL comp I'll be a happy man.
My vids are straight on but I'm pretty sure you'll be able to tell if I break the parallel plane.
This is a pretty weak lift for me currently so I can only offer up 225 x 6.

If I understand rite , if you break parallel its a good lift correct ?
