Hey guys, I'm Chris. I plan on competition in a strongman competition (novice division) in July 2017. I have been doing a 5/3/1 program, along with some supplemental workouts. I know its weird, but I am also cutting at the same time. I am doing a low carb, high fat and high protein diet. Saturdays I have one cheat meal.
I am going to be training with ToreForce Athlete Nick Crockford, along with upcoming CrossFit athlete Connor Griffin. I want to make a HUGE s/o to my best friends Shane Matthews and Stephen Sullivan II for motivating me along the way.
I want to dedicate this thread to just making simple posts on progress, maybe some progress pictures here and there. Also, I would really appreciate some input on training for strongman and any advice from other competitors.
Thank you guys so much, let's get after it

Getting stronger guys, 5/3/1 really works! if youre looking to gain strength efficiently then try 5/3/1. all kiinnddssss of gaiinnnzzzzz....but seriously. Also guys, go out and get yourself a fitbit blaze. these things are awesome. great tracker for sleep and calories in vs calories out. great awareness tool for yourself to stay within your macros and just keep getting after it every day.
