I got my body fat % checked about 3 weeks ago using the body pod (about the same accuracy as water submersion), and I was going to take another test at the 1 month mark. I've had a strict diet and been lifting weight like a mad man with lots of protein intake and all that jazz.
Anyway, I'm curious, what's a realistic change that someone would expect to see in a month? Is a month too soon to retest? I just want to verify all my numbers are moving in the correct direction.
My weight has only changed by a couple of pounds on the scale, but I can clearly see a change in muscle mass, so I'm really hoping to have gained 2-3 pounds in muscle in the month period and hopefully lost 5-10lbs of fat.
My stats at my weigh in a month ago:
Percent fat: 26.6 %
Percent Lean: 73.4 %
Fat Weight: 68lbs
Lean Mass: 187.6lbs
Total weight: 255lbs
Would it be reasonable to expect a 3-5% change in body fat in a month or is that way too much for the 'average' person?
Thanks
