Nutritionally speaking, that is - personally I find them both delicious and I'm certain that the opinions on their taste will vary tremendously throughout the forum.
I understand that lots of people here have adopted cottage cheese into their diet (especially pre-bedtime) because
a) it's delicious and versatile, and
b) its high proportion of casein.
but I'm not seeing a lot of recipes/threads/discussions on quark. Is it just that it's still uncommon in the states and most people here don't have it around, or is it that cottage cheese a preferable source of casein?
Is quark a proportionally high in casein as cottage cheese is? Are there any nutritional differences between the two, other than quark's significantly lower sodium content?

In our country we don't even have cottage cheese. I mean, quark is used instead of eat and most of the people here think that quark stands for cottage cheese. So yes i eat quark daily and i just can't get enough of it .. Be it salty or sweet. Can combine with millions of stuff its just amazing.. I get half my protein from quark everyday. Yep =)

Yeah, quark cheese is awesome. We have both where I live, though it isn't easy finding cottage cheese. But that's alright, tried the latter once and seriously disliked it, whereas quark tastes great.

Does anyone know whether quark is (as) proportionally high in casein as cottage cheese is?
