got my associates in It at a tech college. im starting a university for business admin that wil lprolly take like 3 and 1/2 yaers of part time at the most because i figured it would be the easiest way to get a bachelors and i can have my full time ojb in IT and still buy a house during that time lol and paid off my 2007 silverado

I did wanna major in Secondary Education.
But today in my college English class the teacher said you only need 18 hours of a certain subject to teach K-12th grade. And I thought the starting salary was like 35k, but she said it's 25k. So why get a degree in teaching when you can do it without it? So now I don't know what to major in. Maybe business but that seems boring as fuk. I'll probably still teach, but won't major in secondary education.

About to get an Associates degree in Criminal Justice, and debating whether or not to get a bachelors in it, or to change my major to Computer Engineering.
I think I'd like computer engineering (once I got past the maths) and would probably be good at it cause I'm pretty decent with computers. (Built my own and started doing upgrades myself when I was a kid). But I really need to figure out how much extra time it'll take me for Computer Engineering. If its a year extra or less I may consider it, any more then that and I'll probably stick to CJ.
Original plan was to become an Air Marshall for 4 or 5 years, then get on with the FBI, but with all the ex-mil. people seeking a job with those agencies my chances of getting hired really are small, considering already they have wayyy too many applicants and its a 2-3 year waiting list. (From what I've heard).
If I stick to the CJ Degree with a LE concentration and can't get hired by those fed. agencies I'll be screwed, cause I really don't wanna be a LEO (poor pay for the risks, hated by many, stressful job, ect.)
But if I wouldn't have went CJ for the Associates I'd have ended up spending 1.5 years with an undecided major, so really, the Associates in CJ isn't a waste regardless.
I really like CJ, its just the pay for the majority of the careers is complete crap. I thought of going on to law school, but I'm a laid back person, I doubt if I have the 'killer instinct' to be a lawyer, plus I hate criminals so I could never be a defense attorney or anything like that. Being a prosecutor for the govt. and putting people away would kick ass, but its loads of work for relatively low pay I think.Last edited by guest89; 09-17-2008 at 03:36 PM.
