    Bench Press Problem Need Help

Ok so ive started training with a good solid partner and im now getting to push around some serious weight. The problem im having is when my bench gets over 275 i arch my lower back and turn my head and i lose all of my power why is it and how can i avoid doing it in the future?

Arching your back is not a problem. Turning your head is. Focusing on not turning your head seems like a pretty easy fix, though, just concentrate on not doing it. As for everything else, videos would be helpful for critique.

Remember the more arch the better, as long as the butt stays on the bench. Try to get yourself in the position you want to be in through the lift right off the bat and you need to try very hard to keep your head down and straight to avoid injury. Don't go past a wieght that you can't control your body with.

that's just because its very heavy for you so you compensate by using every possible muscle group you have. try doing a few more reps and sets with the weight that doesn't cause your form to fall apart. take your time and work up to heavier weights, you'll get there soon enough.

arching your back is good, but one way you could stop turning your head is to keep your eyes on the bar while your pressing, it should help. no matter what just look dead on the middle of the bar

    Suicide grip
    Inward moving knees
losing retraction before the rep even starts

You need to adress those too.

If your partner takes you out that high up, your shoulders will be protracted and it'll be impossible to reach your real potential
