would you not admit that many-->most of the girls who post on this site do it more for attention than anything else? Coming into a bodybuilding site dominated by males, posting up an avi without much in the way of clothing, REALIZING those are the type of responses u will get on an online forum....
im sure most girls get plenty of PMs daily, always get the "YOURE SO HOTTT NOODZZZZ" after everything they post. If they werent seeking attention, why would they stick around?
gotta take into account the demographics of the website, etc. What u say applies to real life pretty well, not so much this site.

no, but did ya know that he sent me a pic of his (very) hairy ass..LOL
Oops did it backfire?
Double standards are very prevelant because of the higher percentage of guys in this section but they don't only exsist here, they exsist in all of society.
The double standards are definitely unfair. You have to be strong to be a woman with all the derogatory name calling, it's ridiculous. No wonder we are insecure.
Yes exactly.

My point is that the argument doesn't have to exist. Guys get pissed off about this, they get pissed off that girls can get laid easier, that they have guys sucking up to them. BOO ****ing hoo. People need to accept that they can't control other peoples actions.
A lot of the times, these are the same guys that complain they can't get a good girl, all girls are sluts, but they laugh at PUA, saying that they'd rather just be themselves. "Why isn't that enough!?" they ask.
Instead of bitching and complaining about things that aren't going to change. Learn them, understand them, use them to your advantage. This section frustrates me so much that I can't help but come back and hope to help people. I'm soon just going to start posting "U mad, grow some balls, you're a virgin, you're 15" for comments since no one listens anyway.Everyone knows rusted screws on a bike means that you probably drove it underwater and that's bad ass in itself.

TO clear it up for you-
Theres OBVIOUSLY going to be an initial double standard because bodybuilding is dominated by men. Whether or not this should be is another story. However, most girls come on here--
1) never post in any forums besides the misc
2) put up an avi not related to bodybuilding at all, and is usually sexually oriented
3) Start threads usually seeking attention and not advice/anything bodybuilding related
can u see why guys would jump to such a conclusion? It really isnt that hard of a leap once u break it down...

If I thought pessimistically, then yes, I would think that all the women on here are money loving attention whores who lie, cheat, and steal their way through life in order to manipulate the emotions of poor, helpless men.
However....I'm an optimist.
I do not believe the women post here solely for attention. If they posted a thread saying "I'm a girl, talk to me, will send nudes!", then there would be a problem.
Women do like to interact on something other than a sexual level with people. They post in the Misc and Relationship help section for the same reason you do: to interact with people. From what I've seen, the Female Misc section gets a new post about once a day, so I can see why they would come here.
I have spoken to Jenflower2 on a couple of occasions via PM, and she is actually very articulate, intelligent, and a genuinely caring person. If you had bothered to read any of her posts previous to this week, she rarely (if ever) spoke in such a flirtatious manner. Sometimes the mood strikes people right and puts them in a flirty state of mind. So what? Its human nature.
Although this is an opinionated message board, you are by all means entitled to your own. This is just my $.02
And Jenflower2: I'm sure whoever you took that avatar shot for was very flattered at the gesture.

I agree with parts of it. But its easy to see why u or I would post in these sections. We both workout, we both seek bodybuilding information, but sometimes that gets old and u wanna mix it up. So BAM! misc section.
While we initially came here for the bodybuilding aspect, most girls did not. Obviously some came here for that, but that is a small minority. What did they come for? I'll let u draw your own conclusion from that.
And im not calling out jenflower, im talking about girls on this site in general. Originally i thought she was a troll (lol no jenflower hate) but i guess she stuck around long enough to prove otherwise.
Though i do find it funny that jensflower gets e-crushes (you being one of them). I can see why u would stick up for eachother.

Actually, most girls do come to Bodyspace for fitness advice. You do not have to be a 'bodybuilder' to want to have a profile on this site. Hell, look at me: I'm far from a bodybuilder (5'10" 165 lbs won't get me far haha) Some women want nutrional help, some women want workout plans, some just want to have people critique them or have that reassuring praise of "You're doing great, keep it up!".
And I literally did laugh out loud at the whole 'e-crush' thing. I consider her an e-friend, if that means anything, so of course I will stick up for her if I think she is being wrongfully accused. But I've long since learned that she is a big girl and can take care of herself, so I should probably stop posting, haha.

If you want to get big, be good at the Squat, Deadlift, pull and bench press, the rest is between you and your dinner plate.
There are 10 types of people: those that understand binary and those that do not.
I was at the Zoo the other day, there was only one animal there: a dog. It was a ****zu.
You die at the end; act accordingly.

I am going to have to agree with the opinion that:
While everyone (man, woman, or child) likes and appreciates positive attention, it seems to go beyond that for most women. It becomes almost a fix for them that they simply cannot live without.
Eventually, if they can't get any positive attention, they'll take the negative alternative. Women, in general, are slaves to their emotions, and attention stokes many of those emotions like few other things. He who chases two rabbits, catches neither.
